Okay on mine. We have five at my field and all are okay.
Some have noted the plastic in the stabs is soft and strips easily. I put a dab of glue on mine. I think FW should have put a metal insert there.

Has anybody else notice that the screw for the stabilator are too short? They don’t even penetrate into the axle groove. Actually don’t even protrude through the plastic tube for the stabilator. Even when the screw is fully seated, the stabilater pulls right off. Need to be probably 2mm longer.Leave a comment:

Update: I just put out an 11min4sec flight using a Lion battery pack I built using Molicel P45B 21700 cells. The pack weighs 490 grams and came down at 3.12v/cell. Yes, it was down on power the last couple minutes but I can get extreme high alpha maneuvering with this light pack.
This flight was to check absolute best flight time with mixed high speed, high alpha, and mostly cruising. Moving forward I set flight timer to 9:30 so I have enough power for a couple go around if necessary.
This is the best flying and most fun jet that I own at this point. Inverted alpha maneuvers are very tame as well. Great jet.
Maybe I should post a video of a long duration flight?Leave a comment:

Just installed the dual afterburner. the 29mm adapter is the best fit. Hope to maiden soon, maybe tomorrow with video.

I did the battery tray mod now I fly tail heavy just me can now get packs way back. I flew 20 flights yesterday went from SMC 59/5100 53/4600 4400lipo strd 44/3800 to an admiral 4,000 pro pack. I’ll post a pic of my batt placement, the second mod I have done is to replace the tiny front wheel 🛞 probably fine on pavement not so hot on grass for me anyways. I used the FW F16 main wheel opened the axle up works great rotation not an issue anymore. I can say the Raptor is wicked fast wasn't doing speed passes but here’s the speed from what I consider reg flight. I still like my 90 better but wow is the 70 a work of art in this size, retracts holding up great, I do a rubber support to help save the retract mount. KMRC blue burner came in yesterday about to install charge some packs and take her back out today. Cheers FW Motion on another excellent planeLeave a comment:

I got mine to balance right on the CG marks with a SMC 4400. I made a small platform just above the servo box for the LemonRX 7ch rx. I have the satellite rx at the other end of the battery bay.3 PhotosLeave a comment:

I haven’t put the 53 or 5900’s in mine yet that sounds like some really great flight times. I actually liked mine so much I bought a secondLeave a comment:

Was able to get a dozen flights on this and so far it is my favorite Freewing airplane yet and I've had many. I like it better than my 6S and 8S 90mm F22 and way more of a flight envelope than my AeroFoam 105mm F22 ( I installed a 110mm FanJet with 840kv motor) . I have used SMC 5300 HV for most flights and if you move the wires in the back of the battery bay out of the way you can get CG right on the money and even 1 or 2mm further rearward from the marks. I've even used my new SMC 5900 HV-2 in it (around 750g) and it I didn't notice much difference from the 5300 other than CG is about 1mm forward of the marks but still flies great.
This thing can get some pretty aggressive alpha even with the bigger packs and the sound of the fan is WAY better than what I heard in the MotionRC videos. Mine sounds fine.
Flight times: SMC 5300HV = 6 min with 3.8v/cell remaining / SMC 5900HV-2 = 6min 47 sec with 3.8v/cell remaining.
These flights were a mixture of full throttle, cruising and some high alpha maneuvers. I simply can't imagine what more could be asked from this plane. Performance, price, build quality.... home run for Motion and Freewing.Leave a comment:

Awesome thank you I have a couple satellites sounds like a good ideaLeave a comment:

Most is under the battery tray but the wing wiring I double backed it into the hole in the wing so less comes out. I took a dremel and cut the floor under the battery tray 1/4" deeper for more room for the wiring under there and to add room for the receiver and satellite under the battery tray.

How did you get your wiring to get that battery back further one thing I’d like to do with mine to get CG back a little furtherLeave a comment:

Four flights today, balanced 5mm aft of marks with 545g battery as far back as I can. One click of elevator trim and one of aileron. 150% on ailerons and 120% on elevators. Added a small down trim with ailerons to have a more linear roll. Flies great. Great flat spin with tailerons.Leave a comment:

Done, wire management, receiver and satellite under the battery tray and painted the rudder servos. Balanced with 5000 at 115. 10ch rcvr so I have reverse, tailerons and separate steering. I removed the box and did Y's.
May do TV.
The flaps are hinged on the bottom with flat plastic hinges. I thought of cutting a bevel in the top to permit upward travel for full span ailerons but want to see how it flies first.
There is a ton of extra wires in this for the little black box it the front of the battery area, crazy amount.
