What is the roll out distance and speed needed for the f86? I know when I maidened my 262 if I pulled up to soon it would lift then bank right and cartwheel as the surfaces where not active yet. Dont want that to happen with the sabre.

Rollout is about 200 ft on the F-86 with no wind or flaps. Half flaps can reduce that if needed. Control authority at low speeds won't be an issue. Rollout is also substantially decreased with a bit of a headwind.

Right on that is good. I am guessing so much speed was needed on the 262 due to wingspan and weight? Once the 262 was airborne it flew ok but it was super mushy on take off if speed was not perfect and it would vear right something fierce.

One of the club fields i fly at. The runway is only 100'. With no wind and half flaps i lift off at 85-90'. For landing I need all 100' most all the time, and end up rolling into the grass most the time. For me to touchdown and stay on the runway most the time. It is at a slower approach speed than i'm comfortable with. I'd rather consistantly grease the landings and end up rolling into the grass.

Nice. Still wanting to know why the 262 is mushy all over
