Hello all, just obtained my Rebel recently,, so, my question, has anyone done or seen retract upgrade options? I'm interested in replacing the stock set.
Any ideas for an easy drop-in?
Can anyone recommend a good afterburner light system that will fit the Freewing Rebel. The 70mm sets I have seen seem to have too big a diameter LED ring.

He has a centerburner system with a 70mm application. I have 4 of them and just ordered another for the new F22. LOVE them! Check out the video to see the setup and aesthetics. It's different/easier to install than the LED Rings.

Reason: Web address fix
She showed up today. Can't wait to get this up in the air. Everything works perfectly except the rudder servo extension was bad. Replaced with with a new one and it worked perfectly.
broke my old rebel out a week or so ago and flew it twice the other day...left main would not retract until I got it on the ground lol then flew again and landed safely ,, ordered another as this plane is a lot of fun to fly and at 179 its not a killer if it gets away and makes a fence post of itself

That is great to hear Ron. I am looking forward to getting mine up in the air over the Christmas Holiday.
It's a great jet and is very forgiving, plus I think it sounds great. I would still recommend a gyro but that's just me, it'll fly just fine without. Enjoy, although beware, the Rebel is a gateway drug.
Well, here is the latest on my Rebel lettering. I still have the vertical stabilizer to paint the letter but overall this is how she will look. I do wish I had gone with the 1/11 scale instead of the 1/10 scale graphics but either way as always Callie did an outstanding job. Pardon my mess in the background.
you may want to re-enforce the seam that starts right at the beginning of the intake....its not glued just pressed together on the side so nothing holds the nose on but the bottom of the fuse and the 1/4 inch of foam at the top of the intake.... I used clear gorilla glue on the seams and the floor but next time id use some clear lexan at that seem

Gotcha Ron. I will do that for sure. We still need to get together and do some flying soon.

Well, sure enough. I was inspecting everything on the Rebel getting it ready to fly again and discovered the location you have described is starting to separate. I opened a ticket with MRC, I'm waiting to hear back from them.
