Main gear doors closing. Now to work on the opening part...
I am totally winging this as I go so it has changed several times already.Leave a comment:

Thanks Bill. I am part crazy and part glutton for punishment LOL
Quite the glorious sight.
On a side note, I got the JHH Mk. 82 bombs today for my Green Knights. That will probably be about a week or more worth of work to put 12 of those puppies together and make the MER's. Should look awesome when done though.Leave a comment:

That is looking really good. More detail work than I'm willing to do but I do admire what you are doing.Leave a comment:

Got the nose gear door functioning so it is basically done. Next up will be to get the main gear doors working together which could be tricky. We shall see....

Not much to report tonight... I got one set of main doors hinged and ran out of hinges. Will get more tomorrow.
I also worked with Callie to make some corrections to her Blue Angels graphics, mostly sizing issues, and things like adding the McDonnell Douglas logo and changing the badge to have A-4's on it instead of F-18's.

I would use an Xacto knife as flat as I could get it or a blade by itself maybe even held with a pair of needle nose pliers. I also use the long blades from a utility knife. The kind where you can snap off sections of the blade to keep it sharp. The wider blade helps make the cut more consistent. Just whatever works. So how did you plane down the inset for the mains doors to get them flush with the wing surface? Looks amazing! My Skyhawk is still in the box, but this winter I’ll try to copy what you’ve done and maybe use the A-10 power system. I may also try to add slats, something you don’t need on your BA version since theirs were disabled, so they wouldn’t deploy at inopportune close formation moments!Leave a comment:
