    Right wing trim?

I'm just speculating here --this could be completely unrelated-- but the old Phase 3 F-16 required its tailerons to be setup with one side having more up trim than the other, in order to fly straight. The Flexjet reminds me a lot of an F-16, from its chines to its wings to its tailerons and single pipe and tall vertical. I've never seen one up close so I can't comment on what is going on aerodynamically to cause the need for up trim. With foam, there are so many variables. Could it be that one guy just got a slightly warped wing? We've seen the same issue from time to time from every foam brand we sell, so it's possible.

Hopefully it's not a systemic thing. Seems like a great flyer from what Bajora and Xviper and the others have said!

I read most of the post and see that right trim is needed, anyone figure this out yet as to why it flies with right trim?? Glad I waited for now to see if this is some kind of issue, nothing I hate worse than flying a jet with a trim issue. Looks great though and might have to get one.

Was privy to the build the other night on the Blue & White one WOW I've never seen so much electronics in one places! BLOWS the mind! GOOSE!!!!

This thing is SOOOO slippery! :Smug:

I'll try to remember to send my EagleTree eLogger with GPS up on future flights to validate his data.

"Armchair aeronautical engineers" ..................................... I guess sometimes, it's better to just stay in their armchairs. ;)

I'll put my GPS data logger in for a flight as well.

I'll tell ya when I get mine and fly it. I've really enjoyed my Avanti S but again, space is a limitation. However, one must keep in mind that the S is a $329.00 plane and the FlexJet is a $529.00 plane. Dollar for dollar and value wise, it's not a fair comparison. If money were no object and didn't enter the equation, this becomes a whole different debate.

One of our other club members now owns my 150+ flight Avanti if that tells you anything. (I have problems with storage space) This one makes it so easy to do so many things and I like the profile of this one better since it has the looks of a warbird.
If you start your take off roll holding full elevator and ease slowly into the throttle this one will take off like a big turbine model. Front wheel lifts and as you continue to increase throttle the whole model follows in a nice "scale" takeoff. Landings are just as sweet as it will carry the nose wheel for as long as you want to hold up elevator and keep the speed sufficient to maintain the lift.

Six more flights for mine today. Finally getting the knife edge figured out. It does not need a lot of rudder input to hold it and that's where I had been going wrong. I had been trying to fly it like the Avanti.
I saw where Bajora put in six flights on his today over at RC Groups and he's supposed to be adding some media after he has a chance to look through it.

Ring 'er out and show us a vid please. Love your video reviews.
Ours still have not shipped from eastern Canada. They likely got shipped from Flex Inno at the same time that their private customers got shipped theirs. We were told they might ship this week but customs could delay a wholesale shipment longer than a private shipment. Maybe next week.

Borrowed this from the RC Groups thread for those that don't frequent there. A little information on the flying stab installation.

Six flights on mine today and I'm kicking the older of my 2 Avanti's to the curb :D I brought it along today "just in case" but never even took it out of the van until a potential buyer wanted to look it over. (He plans to take delivery next Saturday)
Sadly, when I'm flying I can't shoot video with my good camera. Did shoot a couple with my hat cam though. Guess it beats no video at all.
2nd trim flight captured here. I had to put a lot of right trim in mine on the maiden. Took the manual with me so ran the quick trim function on the flight controller. Still had to run it again after this flight as it still needed a little right trim.

My 3rd flight of the day. Still needed just a touch more right trim but was good after this time.

Jamie, one of the other club members, showed up with a new FlexJet today as well. So I broke out my handheld and shot video of his maiden. His needed a lot of right trim, same as mine.

Mine is ready for maiden tomorrow "if" the wind shift and slow down forecast is accurate. The Aura might make it easier in unfriendly winds but I'd rather perform the maiden in at least "decent" conditions.

My Freewing F-5 80mm with 80A ESC gets to 100 as well. Would not surprise me to see the FlexJet get to 100 too.

Stock out of the box, Dynam Me262's have been clocked at 110 mph in level flight.

    Avantis outrun them.

Seven flights on mine today. I don't know the top speed but it flies faster than the Avanti S that I have. It carries a lot of speed for a long while after chopping throttle and even with a 5500mah in it, it goes straight up from takeoff or from slow level flight. It got small quickly and after flying it along with a F-16 turbine in the air, I was asked if it also was a turbine. So yeah, it's fast. And when I say it goes straight up, I mean it does not lose speed and fall back. It will go out of sight.
