              Hey Farmflyer
Just ran across your post on corsairs. Bonified fanatic. I love mine and always will. The first was the hobby zone 44" with safe. First Foamie
. Never used the recovery button except to show someone how it worked. Really stable. Flights are light and like on rails. Seems like you have to try and crash it.
Secound is the f4 1450 AIRFIELD. ALSO a good flyer but really bad retracts. Mostly plastic. Not bad if you have a paved runway and your landing skills are very good but I fly off of grass and so it doesn't see much action. Mainly because of customer service from NP. Take offs and flights are great(even better with the A3l) but landings no matter how smooth may result in a ripped out or broken gear. I still love the plane though. Hope you like your F6F as much as I do. Now my corsairs have a friend from the sea.

I'm anxious to hear reviews on the new e-flite offering I'm not crazy about the green trim but may could overlook it. I'm sure it'll be a good quality piece.

Yea the green doesn't do much for me either but the added retracts a and flaps and size does make it more desirable. Said it a million times. Those gull wings on a low pass climbing out with a victory roll. Man beautiful. I need to slow down buying planes but I am seriously thinking about tis one and repainting it the grey version others have discontinued.

Yep the Corsair is at the top of my list of favorite warbirds. Can't decide between the P-38 and the Corsair which is #1A and #1B. :)

I've had the FMS 1400 and 1700mm Corsairs...The Top Flite, and a few others I am forgetting at the moment. I've had my eye on that scale Hangar 9...Wow is she a beauty! I think that will be my next big winter project.

Side note, I had the first 1700mm Corsair in the states...I was doing some design product box artwork for them and they sent me the 1700 Corsair as payment. So it was the PRE Version 1, lol. I had a buddy take video of the maiden and he captured the hub blowing apart in mid-air. I am so glad that nobody was seriously injured or worse. The explosion was so violent some of the props were found sticking out of the ground like knives!

It turned out to be a weak hub made from cheap plastic that fractured under certain RPM's. You can see in the video I wasn't doing any high G moves at the time...Just a basic turn. Looks like I was straffed by some Zeros!!

To date it's my most viewed video on You Tube. Even the FAA was reviewing the video to determine if there was a serious issue with Chinese RC product...To FMS' credit, once they saw my video, they built a new hub out of superior material within two weeks and the new hub was what was shipped out from that point forward.

(The explosion occurs at the 2:28 time stamp)

It was sometime in 2012 I believe...Yeah I've heard from several people over the years say "Wow, I remember seeing that video! That was YOU???"

LOL, yep, and I had one smashed 1700mm Corsair to prove it. :)

Hey Farmflyer it is completely stock . I enjoy most of my planes the way they are built . It is not a speed demon very still fun to fly . For the price if I do have a mishap it's not quite as bad a hit for parts or replacement

Hey fellas, like my corsairs too. Flown the fms 1400 a few times, maidened one just the other day. Not a bad flier. I have the lx 63" one with the folding wings ATM, which I do not recommend at all! - unless you are prepared to change almost every component. Still, it looks nice. (The parts, motor, retracts, servos, wing design, all need replacing if you want a reliable bird imho - unless you like dramatic wing folds etc in flight that is... ). Working on some vid of my maiden with it at the moment. Also have a vid to do of a mates giant scale corsair, with a 200hp Moki radial in it. Sounds pretty cool. Hopefully I'll find some time to get them done soon and share. :)

                                          (Impressive prop explosion Todd). ;)
