Clear low-tac paper is a great recommendation, Mike! I've used regular Dollar Store Post-Its with similar success. That's how I masked my F-14.

Thanks Mike , I will give that a try today.
Hope this works , because it has slow down everything I'm doing .
I just want to get to the detailing part soon, so I can see it all come together before the weather gets bad.

It's easy to work with and I'd suggest some testing on some scrap parts till ya get the hang of it.

I really do appreciate everybody's help and ideas on this because this was bugging me as to how I was going to get around some of these tight Parts because there's some chrome paint that has to go on also

Thank you for your help on the low tac paper mask. You saved me so much stress.

I can't believe I finished the hard part in one night. Not because it is easy, but I chose to do the scalps because it was hard. I'm using the Blue Angels wings as a mockup till I do the TB wings.

Hey Alpha is that you in the F-14 pic. I've been wanting to do the 80mm F-5 in that paint scheme, how did you do it. Did you just start with your color base cost and just panel it out with post a notes for the other colors..

Flight Metal, looks great on fiberglass planes, but will show imperfections on foam airplanes unless you get it really smooth before applying.

Wings are not done yet still more filler and sanding needed.

These are really rough looking ,and it's going to look like putting lip stick on a pig.

Wet sanding is your friend for making the wing smooth and light and prepping for paint.

Here is my dremel tool with brass tube in it for making revits.
