Did a few flights today at a school parking lot near by. Didn't feel like driving the 45 minutes to the flying club today.
Had a hard landing, as you will see in the video, with my Freewing P-51. Good news is that I made the repair to the main landing gear connecting rod, and was back in the air in 15 minutes.

Great job Lon, man that is R/C flying central there!  I was  eyeballing that long stretch of road to your right when taking off, you could land a jet there!
Had my FW Mustang all ready for maiden today, but the wind isn't cooperating.  Two planes to maiden (Old Crow and the Pitts) and the wind is blowing!!!!
Frustrating, so I simmed with a Pitts for a few hours. 
Anyone in Virginia?  I have a buddy there that could used a flight mate.  He's just starting out and from what he was telling me, the club he joined isn't too helpful.  He has an Apprentice all set to go and has been practicing on his sim.  Nice guy and ex navy.  Drop me a message if you can help out?
I'd love to but its a bit of a drive from Wyoming!

The field is Champlain Valley Flyers club which is located in Crown Point, NY on Lake Champlain. It's only 10 minutes from my house which I cannot complain about when I hear people on here talking about traveling an hour. Guys in the club are very helpful.

Starmax Cessna 182 (63") Mobius action cam flight today, at North Dallas RC Club. Had a fun day! Today was the maiden of the Freewing T-45 90mm, but flew the Cessna to get my wings flapping again. It's been a while since flying last, due to the winds and flooded out fields.

Love the Mobius camera, but I need to do some configuring to get the colors more saturated.

You can see where the field was hit by the floods, and water still all around the area, as it recedes. Hope you enjoy!

Yes, the road leading to our field is still flooded and can't be reached. Have to drive about a mile around to get to it. 

The high Texas heat is doing its normal job though...drying it all out.

No Lauren it was the foam wheel skirts . I like skirts and think they add a lot but they should all be made of plastic so they hold up .

Here's a video of a place I couldn't fly, till I received and built the Flyzone DHC-2 Beaver.
This video was taken at Sabula Lake, in Sabula, Iowa. Only a 6 minute drive from the house. So guess where i'll be flying frequently!
This is the second flight. First flight video turned out blurry.
Maiden flight was uneventful, but exciting! Had to do very little trim adjustment. Took off without flaps first flight. Very scale takeoff. Second flight I deployed flaps for takeoff. That really made her jump out of the water by the time I was at half throttle! You'll see that in the video. This flying off the water is SOOOO cool!!!
