G'day Ron,
Just for the record, you will find very little 'glue' is holding in any of the wheel well tubs in any of the FMS models.
This is to prevent you ripping the whole wing apart in a less than stellar landing...and we all have those from time to time:rolleyes::D.
Imagine my total surprise one day when I arrived at the field to find that the whole tub had fallen out of the Corsair and, of course, it was the only model I had packed in that morning and, further, I had no glue and, wait for it, neither did anyone else at the field. Even the local guru of flight [gof] did not have his twelve volt hot glue gun with him. [he ALWAYS has the glue gun for in field repairs as most of his models are now more glue than original airframe:p]
I am confident enough with my landings to epoxy the tubs in place but I would recommend anyone doing so to go light on the epoxy in case of the less than perfect touch down.
It is much better to pull out a little bit of foam, that will act as a good location key as it stands, then to have the whole wing torn in two.
I want to get back and fly my Trojans soon and there is an electric fly day coming up the first weekend in June and I want to take a Mustang, Trojan and I think, my F4U to the meeting so I better get in some serious practice;)
I hope you are away from the nasty weather we are seeing on the news broadcasts here. It does look really bad.
Stay safe.
Regards and respect
Daryl
