Starck Mad, here's an underside shot. The struts move rearward, they aren't 90 degree outboard swinging like a P-51. When viewed head on, the struts sit splayed outward, not 90 degrees to the wing like Dynam (inaccurate).

Thanks for that Alpha...and I'm so not trying to rain on the parade here. I will have both this and the new E flite Spit's. This one is beautiful! I'm relieved the gear isn't as bad as the Dynam...although the gear on the Fliteline does not sweep back into the wing at the correct angle (not enough) and its much too forward...from a scale perspective. I do however...know you guys don't miss a trick. I'm assuming there is a reason for this, and my guess is ground handling. Not a deal breaker by any means. My Durafly is really close to right on with the gear...they got the sweep back angle right and almost put them in the scale placement, but did angle the struts forward to prevent nose overs, but unless the grass is really short...shes going over anyway...and that's with a three point touchdown. I can see this one handling grass much better and I like the bigger size very much.

It's been a great year in the plane department for me I must say, and you guys at MRC have been a big part of that! I got the P-38 I've wanted for years, and its fantastic! I got the Mk1a I've wanted forever, and now thanks to you fellas and E flite/FMS I'll go from no Spitfires worth having (to me) to three in my hanger by August! Just can't get much better...unless somebody does an A-4. Lol. And yes...I'm never letting that go...

Just as xplaneguy said above, I've had the pleasure of flying this Spitfire as well. A beautifully scale model all around , definitely something I value in an RC warbird. And this plane flies just as well as it looks. Really stable and smooth in scale flight as well as in aerobatic maneuvers. Again, to those interested in feeling how this Spitfire flies for yourself, come on out to Apollo XI field at next weekends event and give it a try!

Here's an oldie but a goodie from 3 years ago with the old parkzone spitfire. I can't wait to get my hands on this bigger and better Flightline spit. Go easy on me guys. We didn't have good cameras yet at all, not even close.

The Spitfire is my favorite plane! I'm a bit particular when it comes to them and bought my first one in December (well...got it for Christmas)...the Durafly Mk1a...its very very well done and the first foam one offered that was done well enough to really do a Spitty justice in my opinion, but its really small. This one looks very promising too and is a bit bigger, but I fear I'm seeing something I really don't want to see and I hope I'm not seeing it right. There's no photos of the bottom of the plane...and the one that slightly shows the gear seems to show that the geometry is way off as many brands have done in the past. Does the gear retract straight out like the Dynam and old FMS one instead of out and back like the full scale Spitfire? Man I hope I'm seeing that wrong...

I do not have any confirmed information at this time, but rest assured if/when an arrangement can be made with a distributor that ensures the FlightLine product is both delivered quickly and serviced fully in Europe, we'll make the appropriate announcement here and on our website.

I've had the pleasure of flying the FlightlineRC Spitfire Mk. IXc several times this month and it is a fantastic flying model, with outstanding scale features. Reliability, stunning scale looks, outstanding flight characteristics, and exceptional price point...she's a winner guys!
