Hello! I maidened my spitfire a long time ago and I was extremely inexperienced for that plane at the time, and now that I'm fixing it.... I can't find a way to get rid of propeller wobble, I bought a new prop, and prop mount?( i think its called) but i cant get the original one off, so is there a way to do that?

I don't remember the mm mine is balanced at and I realize that they may have lines differently on various planes but I balance on the black line near the fuselage.

A rearward balance really helps with it tipping forward on take off and landing.

Hi all,

I did the mainden flight of my 1200mm spitfire 2 days ago. Generally speaking it was good but the plane needs about 2-3mm up elevator to fly straight, even though it's normally balanced. I have tried moving the battery a bit to the back but the plane still dives if I don't trim the elevator. Is there any way I can fix this problem?

Hi Joe, welcome to the Squawk!
The best way to color match is to take a piece of the plane to Ace or Lowes, even Wally world and have them scan the color. Get it in a satin/pint can, just went through this with another member. All others finishes require you to buy a quart can, which you don't need.
When finishing, I apply Minwax Spar Urethane Gloss to seal the decals and then spray Minwax flat on it. layer it until it's as flat as you want.
The Gloss seems to seal the decals better than the flat to my way of thinking.
My Rule Of Thumb is if you want a very flat finish, spray, if you want a glossy finish, use a brush.

Hi, does anyone know the exact paint colors of the Flightline 1.2m spitfire, i cant find the exact paint, I'm trying to repair after a paint scrape

I put a MR RC Sound in mine early on. The transducer was in a cutout in the block behind the main wing at the center of the fuselage and the board was at the rear of the battery area. I’ll see if I have any pics….

I made the cutout and added a ply floor. Worked well. Later on I got more into FPV and got the 1600 Spit so I removed the system from the 12 and put it in the 16, where it still is. And I put a FPV system in the 12...

Hello Belly and welcome to the Squawk.
This plane is likely not a candidate for a sound system due to it's size - just not enough room as well as the additional weight.
Sound systems like the MrRC Sound are rather tight for space even in the 1400 size warbirds.

Thanks Evan, I had found them ( Having misinterpreted your first description) but I'm sure someone else will get it wrong like I did :-) Really appreciate your help.

Here's mine after a slightly sweaty maiden : she was VERY sluggish, I suspect a nose heavy situation ( as did a few more chaps at the club who were watching) I tip stalled her into the ground and the bend undercart and a tiny crease on one wing were the only damage after cartwheeling to a stop.

APC electric not a folder. I run the 1200 on 4, 5, and 6s! It also has FPV. That is my 1200 and 1600.

Nice, here’s mine.

Is that a folding prop you are using!?? If so what variety? And stock esc? I'd rather keep buying batteries than props! (It's hard to tell from the photo but it looks like the spit in the foreground has a folder)

Evan, thanks for your reply, so I dug a little deeper into the side hole and found a grub screw(one each side) loosened by a 1.5mm allen key.

Shouldn't have to. They are accessible from the retract sides.
