      Are batteries to be in parallel or series? Recommend ESC is only rated up to 6 cell and seems too weak. At 48 amps with 6 cell.

        it flew as scale power - 70 watts/lb

        I believe recommended ZTW Mantis G2 65A ESC with 8A SBEC is a mistake.

                Alrighty then...THE TRUTH AND HARD FACTS OF THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL AND ASSEMBLY OF THIS PLANE.
                1)
                Main Landing Gear installation, it is damn near impossible to insert the wire struts into the cut outs unless you remove a small section of the plywood Land Wing on each side of the bottom openings.
                2) Electric Motor Installation, Unless you have a curved set of needle nose pliers or a Surgery Forcep, you will not be able to insert the 5X80mm bolts into the 2 bottom openings.
                3) Landing Gear Wire Strut Covers, nix the "CA" per manual and use epoxy!
                4) Pay Attention to Instruction # 25-Center Wing because later on in Section #31 you'll be cursing out Motion RC and the Asian Factory Workers who put this thing together :) :)
                5) Section #31...THERE IS NO WAY IN HADES TO INSTALL THE HEX BOLT AND TIGHTEN IT PER THE PICTURED INSET ON THE FORWARD SECTION OF THE CENTER WING!!!!!!!!!YOU'LL HAVE TO REMOVE 1R AND 1L TURN THE CENTER SECTION UPSIDE DOWN, REMOVE THE FORWARD SPECIAL STRUT CLAMPS AND INSTALL 1R/1L AND TIGHTEN HEX BOLT/NUT THEN REINSTALL CENTER WING.

                There seems to be a standing issue with who ever Motion RC is hiring to QA NEXA Products because the process is lacking and that person needs to be assembling these NEXA Products themselves to verify ir can be done! If you need a Master Builder to sample these then I'm Available, just send me the proct and I"ll do a thorough and truthful review!

                ( I say NEXA Products because I have bought a few, Banshee, Fokker DVII, Space Walker and there were instruction issues with each one).

                  As far as Electric Motor Setup DO NOT USE THE RECOMMENDED ADMIRAL MOTOR, ETC. I use the BadAss 4530-440Kv Brushless Motor, Rebel V2 Series Brushless ESC, 100A and Wood Electric Propeller, 17x8​. This setup uses a single 6S Lipo Battery and has plenty of power!​​

                    Unfortunately, I have to agree with everything aferree61 has said, but I am surprised he stopped where he did. Several major issues with this "assembly". Over the last 4 years, I've put together 20 or so ARFs, Extreme Flight, Hangar 9, Seagull, Phoenix, Dancing Wings and Black Horse. This is my first and probably my last Nexa (VQ). Instead of ranting about all the terrible instructions and bad fits, I have a question before I go off in one of two directions to try and make this work.

                    Center wing fitment: I took great care to make the wing fitment templates. With the existing center wing attachment "bars", no way I can get these two to agree (even with all the screws loose}. To anyone who has completed this, is the wing fitment template correct? If so, the bars or holes through the fuse must be changed. Any guidance would be great, as to how you completed what seems to be an impossible task (without making serious modifications).

                    I am used to things needing some massaging to fit together, but this has been crazy. It's as if this was a prototype given to me, that no one had ever fit checked and asked me to assemble it. The piece parts are nicely done, covering is extremely well done, but things don't fit.

                    I really hoping someone can tell me whether I should trust the template or not.

                    So after playing with it more, I believe the wing fitment templates are correct. If I just install the two "#1" bars on each side, the center section lines up with the template without much fuss. However, if I attempt to install the #2 and/or #3 bars, they are both too long, even with all the adjustments available. I've tried multiple combinations, assuming the instructions are incorrect, but the problem still exists. You will have to look at the illustration in the manual for this to make any sense. I'll make a work around and go on, not sure what that is yet. My model is the red and blue one.

                    If you buy one, be prepared, it's going to be very challenging. If you go in knowing this, it will probably be less frustrating. It's not going to be as simple as a Hangar 9 assembly by any means.

                    Motion Rc is an excellent supplier, but this is a VQ model and it appears that Motion RC is just selling them as Nexa without any Motion Rc input or changes. The Black Horse and Flightline/Freewing stuff is top notch.

                      i hade to remove the locknuts to shorten the #2&3 struts so they would fit with a little bending on the wire end. i left the center wing screws lose until I had the "N" struts in place then tighten everything up.

                        I did get the wings to assembly by doing the following: I used the template, I loosely attached the #1 struts, and I loosely attached the "N" struts on the outer side of the wings. I tightened all the #1 struts and then the "N" struts. I did not use the #2 and #3 struts as they were too long and messed everything up. This approach line up well, and the wings looked correct. I then only used the #2 strut on each side. Because it was too long, I slid it into the place the #3 strut was to attach and it worked. I found the center wing stable and stiff enough, so I left the #3 out (for now). Harvey had the same problem it seems and bent his to make it work.

                        Today, I had my second day of flight with the Fokker D7, overall, the plane flies very well for a WWI plane. The wing alignment is correct as I needed no aileron trim on my maiden flight. The visual mechanical trim was perfect. I have several large bi-planes and this one lands the easiest of all of them. It requires very little coordinated rudder to turn and flies slow without objecting. Note: I used 25% differential for the ailerons (100 % up, 75% down) and the plane will actually turn without rudder.

                        Here's a video of today's flight, it's not great video, bad sky, first timer using my phone to video but you can get an idea of what the plane can do besides simple flying (which it does extremely well).
