Great job. It brings back memories of a Guillows PBY that I built long ago.

Hey TiredironGRB, have you had any indication on your PBY's of center wing issues, cracking etc.

I did my first flights on mine this Saturday. The first flight was fine. The second flight as I was pulling out of a shallow dive, the wing folded and snapped right in the middle.

I had assumed there was a center spar running down the inside in front of the pylon possibly. But the only thing there is the two little hold down plates with no indication of a spar running across the middle.

I'm bummed this thing just literally fell apart on the second flight.

Any idea? Did Dynam leave out the spar? I know I installed the long spars from the outer wings.

I would appreciate your opinion

I don't think there is, I've never seen one do that...the wings struts may have come lose.

Yes, they came loose,screws ripped right out of the plastic/rubber holes . I thought I had them glued on, but it must not have been enough. Im going to replace the broken stuff and put a center spar in the center portion of the wing. I think a groove cut down the center underneath and some epoxy and it shouldn't happen again.
