Needed the slower scale speeds and slightly reduced handling for IR battles. 390s actually were a handicap more then of a value in battling with the T34.

But for backyard fun and smiles 390s rule the day in the T34.
My Heng Xin gearbox came with the Red390 and I just left them in. I have on my bench both Tamiya380 and Taigen Black380 if I want to change. But you are right, for backyard fun, the 390 is ok too.

BTW, the Heng Xin gearbox does not fit the T34. I have to grid off a piece of the gearbox case and some tank wall thickness to fit it. NOT recommended for anyone.

From the Jan. 22, 2023 San Diego tank clubs IR battle day. It was the first battle day for my Pacific Theater themed Sherman and where it earned its war name. After scoring five consecutive victories without being knock out, it was given the war name “Ace N a Day”. Its NOT easy to score two or more consecutive victories against experienced player like were present. Was it just LUCK, probably, but here is to keeping my fingers crossed “Ace N a Day” can keep up the great start to her career.

It must be a battle scared T-34/85. It lost all the small parts and gas drums. The T-34 has the best paint job among my HL's as is. It is lighter than most HL too. I added 2 pounds of lead to make it run better on rough ground.

Upgrades for this one aren't out yet, but metal upgrades are supposedly coming after the Chinese New Year.

Rubicon99 Great looking modification. I am currently modding a FlightLine 1600 mm Corsair from VMF-114 stationed at Peleliu 1943-5. Point is, I have seen many similar tanks while doing my research. Bravo Zulu, Sir. Best. LB
