So I used bondo glaze/spot putty

So for application I just put it on as you would normally then when it started to get harder, like a minute after application, I went over it with a self made tool. Just gently scrap it for like a 1/2 inch stop and start on the small pile that formed to make my lines in-between.

Great work Delta_19. You pulled it off flawlessly. Now you have to try one with a waffle pattern!

Ok so tried and didn't turn out to bad.

So to start you need a hot glue gun, a large flat surface, window screening, a large flat object to sandwich the glue and, lotion or something to stop the glue from sticking to your flat surface.

next lube up the surface, lay the screen on it, and pour out some glue.



Sandwich with the 9v


Once the glue is hard peel off the battery and clean up overflow


now peel off the battery and trim the sides clean.


Now put this on a stamp of sorts and go to town.


Takes a few tries to get the the stamp to look good but it works.

Well the hot glue is for the stamp only, I feel a putty would take to long to harden to a usable point... and I didn't have any, not that I would use it if I did.

Hey everyone.
I am thinking of buying the Tiger Tank and I was just wondering how much of a difference the color of the tracks of the professional and the upgrade are.
If someone could maybe send a comparison picture of the tracks that would be great.
Also I am aware that there is a comparison picture above, but it isn't so clear.

Ooooh I love me the Tiger I. The Upgrade version is black plastic. The Professional version is a off silver grey metal.

The bottom track link in the above picture is the black plastic version.

Out of curiosity, could U get for example a tiger main cannon and instead of using the tk7, connect it to a spectrum or some other rc plane receiver and be able to fire bb's, smoke and recoil???

If it's possible, I may have an rc me262 with some nose mounted cannons and a an mg42 on with smoke and lights on each with one day soon.... Just like Willy M wanted.... (I realise it will be minus sound on of off chance it does work)

Just received the “Tiger 1 S33 Upgrade Edition”.
A sticker on the bottom of the tank reads “7.0 Edition”, although the manual states “V:6.0”

With all the varying info out there, thought I’d quickly post what my experience has been.

Overall, quality seems very good. Having to glue in the controller sticks is a bit goofy, but the fit and finish of the tank
and the spring-catch battery hatch are nice. Although the various attachments (cables, hooks, shovels, etc.) are nicely painted, the seemingly oversized tank commander is solid green.

I was impressed to find metal Rocker Arms for the road wheels.
One 1800mAh Li-Ion 2S battery with an XT-60 connector (to tank) and 2S balance-lead (to charger) was in the box.
Everything works as expected; limited turret rotation (320*), limited vertical barrel movement, and programmable modes.
Both the IR and bb-shooter work well;
there is no barrel recoil (but the tank can be programmed to rock upon firing - Off, Light, Med, Hard)
The instructions are mostly gibberish, but the pictures help.
The instruction manual for the controller was very helpful for programming.
The USB balance-lead charger that comes in the box lights up solid red when first plugged in to power.
When the battery is hooked up, the charger also flashes green.
When the battery is charged, there is only a steady green light.

Hello fellow Tankers. I have a Tiger 1 Pro edition and want to paint the metal wheels. The Tamiya German gray seems too dark, what color paint do y'all think would be the best match?

Think of this as an opportunity to upgrade your baby. Remove the HL decal, search online for some authentic decals, repaint the whole tank one color, apply the decals, then do some weathering. A very simple weathering step is to use some dry hobby pigment and brush it on.

The Heng Long Tiger I stock paint is quite blue. Tamiya doesn't offer a paint out of the bottle or can that will color match the Heng Long interpretation. It could be custom mixed. But at that point you'd probably just want to repaint the whole tank.

Of course a lot depends on lighting so I tried to pick a picture with bright lighting for an example. This is Tamiya TS4 German Grey spray paint. It is Not a true Dunklegrau but it is a good starting point-



I think you can see Heng Longs color is quite blue in comparison.

Vallejo Hobby Colour Panzergrau spray bomb. Cheaper than Tamiya and I'm a Tamiya fan, more accurate and if you feel it is too dark for your liking it can easily be moderated with a wash or pastels at the end. Bit if you are just doing the wheels then weather the hell out of them. Cheap and cheerful and looks great
