Hi all

What is the difference between the heng long tk6.0 and tk6.0S systems?
I saw in a video, a comparison of the TK-6.0 version of several different series.

My fear of buying version 6.0 is to get an old series.

It's my understanding that the Tk 6 is the latest standard versus the older 5.2/5.3 series MFU's. I have seen Tk 6.0, 6.0s, 6.1 and 6.1s MFU's and they are all the latest "6.x" series. I also read that the "s" is to denote if the MFU has smoker capability and the 6.1 model has cannon barrel recoil versus just track recoil.

My particular tk6.0 has smoker capability so I'm not sure about the "s" designation...

The 6.0 “S” is for the higher power smoke unit that is in some of the factory upgraded versions. Alpha posted the below on another forum.

Adjustable track recoil? How do you set that? My King Tiger jumps out of its boots when I fire the main gun. Looks ridiculous.

Answered my own question, adjustable track recoil was not available until TK6.0

Just place a small piece of electrical tape between the two recoil relays (U shaped exposed wires)located on the gun breach. This should stop the track recoil on the older tanks. Or you can unplug it from the small upper hull circuit board which will also stop it.

Thanks, I'll give that a try until I get whatever board I decide to get. I was thinking of the Clark or IBU but after reading a lot of other threads, a HL 6.x and transmitter looks the path of least resistance.

Simple is just going straight to the HL 6.0/1 or for a little more in compatibility for IR battling a Clark 40 and up offers a few more features. The newer IBUs are not as good as they used to be and can be a pain to set up.

I'm just a living room/backyard runner so no need for IR. I do like the sounds on the Clark, the empty shell casing hitting the turret floor for example. Is the Clark a straight forward plug and play? I saw one set-up thread where that talked about a Sony IR remote control for programming and completely lost interest. It might have been an IBU. Any Canadian vendors for Clark boards?
