Howdy y'all! My boy has been wanting a good RC tank to replace his broken amazon ones, so we just ordered a Heng Long Panther. What do we need to know about setting it up, running it, do's and don't, etc? We got the upgraded version with plastic tracks, since it will mostly be on wooden floors and concrete. Looks like you can do IR battles with these, so I may get myself a Tiger, Sherman, or T34 if they make those. Glad I found y'all when MotionRC got some stuff back in stock!

Hi Monty. Welcome to HobbySquawk. Your best bet is to read through all the sticky posts at the top of the Tanks forum. There is a lot of good information in them. They will answer many of your start up questions. Also, read through Alpha's post on the Panther here: https://www.hobbysquawk.com/forum/rc...antiger-hybrid

Should the Panther have some kind of laser for aiming/shooting? I recall seeing a Heng Long tank that flashed a laser when shooting, but don't see that happening with my Panther.

The Abrams tank you saw with those features is not yet “available” from HL nor is any other variations.

The earlier models of tanks before they had IR emitters had a red led on the mantle that flashed just prior to the airsoft
cannon firing. Sort of a warning to anyone in the line of fire I guess. I have a Panzer III that has this feature.
I have seen a couple of videos with the new aiming laser also.
One of them being the all metal larger scale Tiger I. What a beauty!
