Suggestions for easy Torro tank track removal needed

I just purchased my first RC tank, a Torro Leopard. I need to remove the tracks so I can paint the tank. I tried to remove the pin from the tracks using the method suggested by Taigen on youtube but I could not move the pin. It appears to be peened on both sides of the track link, so would I have to grind off the end and drift out the pin? Doesn't look easy. I could also remove the tracks as a unit but I don't know how to do that, any suggestions? Would I have to remove the forward idler wheel to give a little slack? Thanks for the help.

I don't own the Torro Leopard, but I have 8 other Torro/Taigen tanks. I just unscrew the sprocket and take it out along with the track.

First remove the upper hull from the lower hull. The sprockets are two piece. Unscrew and remove the outer portion. The track will be easy to remove and replace at that point.

Or remove the idler from underneath the axel (allen set screw), wiggle the idler out with the front of track. Done.
