Just remove the Deans battery lead connectors and splice a set of Tamiya (Heng long) connectors on. Shouldn’t take but 5 minutes. I did this to the ones I have and vice versa with other RC systems.

I did it. But when I started connecting the LED components to the board, I couldn't. It seems that the first row of the pins (for the + holes) are blocked by the side of the black cover (see red arrow). Is it the misalignment work in installing the chip board by the assemblers from HL? How can I fix this? open it up? I just want to check with you all before doing so :-) It is a $60 board :-( I don't want to risk it.

It appears to simply be a misaligned board. I would either see about moving the board or simply making the “slot” wider. Either way you would have to open the black cover and remove it, again super easy.

I opened the black cover and cut that right left side off the top of the cover. It exposed the entire row of the positive pins. I connected the wire and bound it to my 6.0S Tx. It started. My first experience with 6.1S board. . Now it is time to learn how to use it for the servo and make the gun elevate.

After viewing the 6.1S diagram to plug in the next two wires from the turret, I was able to get everything functional. My first 6.1S board to run the M36B1 (turret: Mato, bottom: HL). I will run it outside tomorrow.

I just looked at one of my new 6.1 MFU's and it has the same issue as yours David. And all the plugs are too far to the right and will make it difficult to get all the plugs in that are on the right side.
The servo plugs will be hard to get in if you haven't had tried already. I noticed in your photo that the whole board was over to the right too far. its the same on mine too. So I will pull it apart and see if I can moved it left a little. My other 6.1's are fine

Looks like it's dremel time on the 6.1 case?

I just got done taking the 6.1 apart and the PC board can be moved to the side I put 2 pin plugs in the LED ports to hold it in place and put top on and all the holes lined up with the plugs
                    Easy fix Woo-hoo.

Thank you for sharing. I will have another 6.1S board arriving soon. If it has the same issue, I will do the same as you did. For my first one, I just cut the the thin section covering the pin plugs to expose the them for me to use.
