  • M60 Tanks coming soon. But not from Heng Long

TD is finalizing their M60 tanks. They are releasing three versions starting DecemberšŸ¤ž according to their web page.

TD is run by a former Henglong employee and the tanks are being produced by HL for TD. These are supposed to be completely TD designed but using many off the shelf HL internal hardware parts and the 7.0 control system.

The three M60 version are the USMC RISE, Early IDF M60 with era and a basic US ARMY M60A3.

Here are some photos tanker from the companies web site.

The more screws it takes to reassemble a tank, the more likely it is you left something out!

The tanks are not on the TongeDe website for some reason but they are on the TongeDe Alibaba site. The centurian is listed at $530.

On Facebook the producer replied to me that he designed them (he left henglong and then opened his own company and contract3d back to henglong to produce them because henglong did not want to for whatever reason) and TongeDe is manufacturing them. Not sure how that works out with henglong but it has a henglong radio system.
he told me they will be available on Amazon in the United States.

I would have just preferred henglong to wise up and produce them but they didn’t want to after designing them. Maybe that’s why we still haven’t seen the Merkava, they changed their mind? They just keep making what the hobby really needs, more darn German tanks……lol.

Much of HL's recent postings seem to indicate they're concentrating on construction vehicles, some with scale hydraulics. Interesting for some I'm sure, but not me!

The Facebook sites are "Coolbank Wang" and Coolback Model". He's also developing other stuff for 1/16 tanks. If you're a Facebook follower I'd recommend going to his site and encouraging him! Here are just a few of his photos.

The Israeli M60 (Magach 6) looks interesting if the rear grill can be fixed.

The one they are making is a Magatch 7A with ERA, the round turret early M60 variant.

The Magatch 6 is the M60a1 or A3 variant. Their numbers are backwards to the linear production age of the tanks because they were first given M60a1 tanks which were largely lost during the opening days of the 73 war and were then replenished with varrying numbers of early M60s, M60a1s, M60a3s M48a5s from the US to keep them in the war.

I received an email from TD. They stated that if I purchase 10 tanks, they would give me a discount. I wonder if they meant 10 of the same type or I can pick different types.

Its usually 10 of the same type. They dont have tanks on their official site yet just the catagory but they have them listed on alibaba.
Mr Coolbank Wang said they would be listed on Amazon for US sales.

The gun on those M60s looks so bad I cant stand it so I have moved forward with making a urethane cast brass tube centered L7 from my aluminum one for the market since my friend will not make any more turned barrels. I am in the process of getting a resale license so I can do this legit as I am also working on other planned products to sell.

I went through his Facebook posts. In one, he mentioned he'd be making a Churchill next. He seems very ambitious. I wouldn't expect to see it for a while though. That's a unique tank to model, will take a long development I imagine.
