Sorry, just got off work.
I forgot to mention that I discovered these, and have 3 of them coming through US customs as I type. The hookup is pretty straightforward and should allow Servo recoil on not only Taigen Boards but also HL 7.0's & 6.0's

The JST plug is power only, and a single black wire is the signal which can be tied into a few different ports that detects the cannon shot. If anyone is interested I can post a video of it in action once a get them and mess around with it.

It would be nice to have a review of these posted. The more options that can be used with the basic systems the better.Originally posted by Zippersnapper View PostSorry, just got off work.

I have been looking for it for a long time too. I look at all the "Henglong Metal Recoil Barrel BB Unit" offered by Toucan Hobby both at ebay and at AliExpress. None of them mention servo recoil. Many of them list TK7.0 in their title which led me to think servo recoil barrel is not yet on the market.Originally posted by Rubicon99 View PostToucan hobbies on EBay sales them or just Google HengLong servo recoil.
On the other hand, Zipper does connect his cannon to a servo add-on to a TK-7.0. May be he can help identify which barrel recoil unit has servo recoil build-in.

I looked at all the Heng Long barrel recoil BB unit I can find. I can only see 2-pin JST connector for the recoil motor. No HL unit has the 3-pin servo connector yet.
Dumb recoil motor can be connected to TK-7.0 directly. Disabling the servo feedback to connect to TK-7.0 is not difficult. Replacing the recoil motor with a servo is the real challenge.
Zipper, do you use a custom built servo recoil?

I finally found some Heng Long servo recoil retrofit kit at ebay. They are as expensive as my plastic version Sherman shipped. For now, I have to decide whether to get the motorized metal barrel recoil kit at reasonable prices or wait. I may just do that for less than $40, not bad for the BB shooting repair plus barrel recoil upgrade. Not sure that the servo recoil is worth it for now.

Yes sir. I have also used the Metal version in the previous post...The metal version is FAR superior to the 3D printed one from Clark (which is complete crap). I have videos on my Channel showing exacty how to make a cheap & inexpensive servo recoil system. OF course it goes without saying a recoiling barrel to start with is needed. Otherwise a crap ton of custom modificatons are needed that I decline to get involved with.Originally posted by keilau View PostI looked at all the Heng Long barrel recoil BB unit I can find.
