Would you rather TD not release the M2 at all then? To TD it is mostly a toy not a Tamiya hobby kit grade RC tank.

Don't worry about the rate of fire I am sure once we get it into our hands we will quickly find a way to slow it down. As for the gun sound well none from any mass market manufacturer is really correct. But again the after market control boards that are sure to come out for the M2 will address the proper sounds.

I'm asking a pre ordering man! Just said it was my main complaint... I mean really... the tank shot sounds never can be duplicated... but with the brad only having the 25mm cannon... could get a lil closer to it sounding realistic on the model... vs the way the main tank gun sounds

The main complaint I'm seeing thusfar... is the sound of the main gun, rate of fire is way too high... we had Single shot, Lo and Hi rates. Lo was ~100 hi was ~200.

I think it's going to take a Clark board to make the right sound suite, since they're using the machine gun circuit to activate the multi-recoil. And yeah, there may be a lot of holes. That's too bad. As far as the crew kit goes, a coat (or two or three and some pigment!) will improve them.

If you don't use TDs crew bags and packs or want them placed in other areas thats going to be a lot of mounting wholes in the plastic to fill. I like the general look of M2 TD has done but I am not a fan of the crew kit they are using. It looks out of scale and poorly detailed. But hey let's get our hands on these and see, hopefully I am wrong.

Wow... I was on the M2A1/A2 and A2 ODS.... in all roles... dismounted team leader, driver, gunner and commander. I see that you guys are saying DKLM... but is there a link to preorder it?

That should be easy enough to draw up and 3D print one.

I was originally anticipating sliding a battery in from the back, but I'll give the stock spot a try first.

"Duh" moment. I re-read the specs DKLM published. It explained the reason for the hatch; it's for the battery. The shorty, like HL's for the Pz III & T-72. I use Admiral's 3500mah, same size. They last for a full typical battle day.

Pretty sure there will be a work around for battery placement. It's a huge tank in 1/15 scale with a lot of open internal space.

Depends on the model of the Bradley. There is an M2 and an M3 version. The regular M2 carries two in the launchers and 5 reloads. The M3 carries 2 in the launchers and 10 reloads. The extra reloads take up the crew space of the vehicle, but since the M3 is a scout vehicle there is no need for the extra troop seats.

"The several Bradley variants include the M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle and the M3 Bradley reconnaissance and infantry fighting vehicle. The M2 holds a crew of three—a commander, a gunner, and a driver—along with six fully equipped soldiers. The M3 mainly conducts scout missions and carries two scout troopers in addition to the regular crew of three, with space for additional BGM-71 TOW missiles."

Perhaps on the honor system the driver would have to go back to the starting line after two shots to "reload". On a serious note, I'm not a Clark Board guru, but maybe two shots and two received hits could be programmed?

I think the Bradely carries enough extra TOWs to reload the launcher a few times and from what I was just reading, the infantry in the back do the reload through a special hatch that provides some cover as they do it. And, of course the missile has to be flown to its target. Rather than returning to their start line it might be simplest to just give them a long reload time between shots, say a minute or two.

Looking at the video of the model, does it seem that the auto cannon has a reasonable recoil rate but that it is being tied to a machine gun sound track? Maybe an after market board could fix that.

My philosophy: first they have to manufacture enough stock to fulfill an international demand and find a distributor willing to support the product, then they have to fill containers and ship them across the ocean. I'm 73 years old, I can't wait that long, to save maybe $100 in shipping costs! Sales of 1/16 scale r/c tanks aren't large enough to lower prices to discount level. For me luxury purchases follow this logic. If I want it and I can afford it, it's probably gonna be mine!

Of course, I've said this before; there are three prices for all hobby purchases: One, the real cost.

Two, what you tell your spouse it costs.

And three, what it costs you when she finds out cost number one!

DKLM has posted a pre-order page for the Bradley on his site. There's a lot of info there, but the important stuff is that production will start in late July and shipping will start in mid August. The plastic version is $183, the metal one $316, plus unfortunately shipping at $199 to California. Carson recommended the metal version, "more robust" in his words, so I went with that.

Folks may want to wait until it is listed elsewhere for after August, but there has been dissatisfaction with those options, so I'd recommend dealing with someone reliable, DKLM RC.

I wanna wait for a north American seller but seeing as how I did the same thing for the centurion and I still don't have one, might have to bite the bullet
