Best Matte Clear Coat for Running Tanks Outside

Hi, all of my tanks are handled extensively, as they are driven by the public at the Museum I provide them for. I have found a very easy solution for sealing the PRIMER, paint, & weathering.. I use about 3ml of tamiya x-22 mixed with Lacquer thinner ( 20-30) drops from eyedropper. Through the airbrush( 20psi). Overspray may appear white and dusty, after it is dry the dust will brush off with a large dry paint brush. Here are a few examples too. Good luck! Ken

The Tamiya X-22 is a gloss clear coat acrylic paint from Tamiya. I wonder if the trick can work with the Quick Shine acrylic floor coat on tanks? Car modeler use Quick Shine as is on their car model all the time. The self leveling of the acrylic floor coat allows them to just brush painting the Quick Shine and not seeing any brush mark.

Yes this is a 7.0 heng long Pz-3. I put a bunch of gear and copied examples of a stowage basket from 1970’s squadron signal guides..

The watco sealer can be used on metal tanks ? asking as it seems to be a wood sealer.
