but the diagram shows the wheels, some kind of container and the track section being held on by it, there are no holes etc for them or anything else would hold them.

Ok sorry someone else with a Sherman will help you then. All of my tanks use the tape to secure the figure only.

Yeah don't use the tape, it collects dust and the parts will fall off. Use some superglue to hold everything where you want it (Loctite liquid bond is my preference).The manual shows where the stowage is reccomended to be placed, but you can put it anywhere you want. Shermans in WW2 sometimes looked like driving piles of stowage.

Nice! If you want to make some more stowage yourself, you may be interested in using potato/onion bags and tin foil. Tin foil works great as tarp material since you can replicate wrinkles really easily, and potato and onion bags work great as camo nets! 3D printed and resin stowage is also something to look into.

These two tanks are fictional builds, so not accurate to WW2, but they might give you an idea of some other places and ways you can mount stowage to your Sherman.
