    Hello.
The exhaustive specs/description of the TANK lack the following info on the BATTERY ; is it TAMIYA PLUG, XT-60?,.. is it LI-ON battery? is it 7.4V 2S?
    thank you RC-Tank community!!

    Nobody has it yet.
The more screws it takes to reassemble a tank, the more likely it is you left something out!

its a 7.4v li-ion using a jst smp connector as stated in their aliexpress listing and shown in their April 14th video of their production line. unlike past tanks this battery is replaceable via a working engine bay hatch.

From the picture at BangGood, the battery is neither Tamiya nor XT-60 plug. I guess it is the 2-Pin JST 2.54mm SM Plug Connector, female on the battery end. The JST-SM is typically used with 2 cells Li-Ion 14450 pack.

Usually, "made-in-China" RC toys comes with very poor quality battery pack. A 2S 14450 pack can provide 10-15 minutes of run time. Primium 14450 cells have 800 mAh capacity which is 2-3 time of the OEM packs. A primium cell 14450 pack can provide more than half an hour run time.

I built a 2S 18650 pack using EBL18650 cells. The capacity is 3000 mAh. It allows my 1:16 scale 6 wheel drive military truck to have more than 2 hours run time on a single charge. (The white 3-pin connector is the balance charge plug which is required by all better multi-cell charger.) I have not receive my Coolbank Stuart yet. From some online report, the battery pack is removeable for charging. I hope the compartment is big enough for the 18650 pack.

JST plug are completly strangers to me. Is it a female or male jst plug coming out of the battery? my reconnaisance units failed to identified it :(

It is always female plug coming out of battery to avoid accidentally shorting the battery.

The battery pack is done incorrectly. The 3-pin JST-SM connector is probably done to save cost, but it prevents the use of any better quality balance charger. The 1200 mAh 18650 cells are a sign of cheap battery. Typical 18650 capacity should be 3000 mAh such as the Admiral pack sold by MotionRC.com.
Buy Admiral 3500mAh 2S 7.4V Li-ion Battery with XT60 Connector online at Motion RC. Order online with fast delivery.

Changing the 2P power connector on the Admiral battery pack is not difficult. The easiest way is to cut off the wires and patch the Stuart tank battery wire to it. You need only the red (+) and black (-) wire for the power connection. The blue wire is neutral and needed for balance charge only.

To do it properly, I will replace the power connector on the Stuart tank side and replace it with a XT-60 and get the Admiral battery or equivalent linked above. (Example from my HL Merkava)
