I have 2 JJRC RC military vehicles. Both are knockoff of very expensive RC from China. These JJRC are surprisingly cheap, but run very well both indoor and outdoor.
The first is the JJRC Q75 1/16 scale 6WD truck. In the pictures below, you can see my motor and metal drive shaft upgrade. The RC receiver was upgraded with one with higher current ESC. The metal gear steering servo is hidden. I also upgraded the battery to 2S18650 with high quality Li-Io protected cells.

I recently acquired the JJRC Q8815 1/10 scale MB Jeep. It is waiting in my job q to be upgraded. The pictures below are shown with original parts.

All these JJRC upgrades are simple one-to-one drop in with metal parts. The only painting I did was the Jeep seat cushion. Not worth a separate thread. 2 years ago, I used mostly WPL parts for the 6WD truck upgrade. This time, JJRC Jeep sellers have their own upgrade parts
