Looking for some help with this. Just got it last week and it
    seemed to be running ok.
Only issue I had was that smoke fluid had leaked and was all over insides and running gear.
Took upper hull off to clean it, take a track link out and do some mods.
Problem now is that the handset continually bleeps and the blue light flashes.
The tank starts up runs for a second or two, then cuts out.
Read through other posts but can't see anyone else has had this problem. Maybe I'm just lucky.
Any suggestions would be most gratefully received!

Seems simple, but it happened to me and it was a battery that wouldn't hold a charge. Also check the controller batteries. If it runs at all it means that the tank and controller are connecting fine, so it sounds like low voltage in one or the other.
The more screws it takes to reassemble a tank, the more likely it is you left something out!

Thanks for that. I've used old fashioned AA's in the controller but I've got both batteries that came with it charged up now so I'll swap over the AA's.
Think it's a great little tank, speed is a bit excessive, especially in high. Like to run mine in scale speed.
If I can get this one going would like to the Crusader and do the Caunter camo on it.
      Cheers.
Ps. New to this site & the whole 'posting' thing, so I hope you get this🤞

Yep, you did good. Check youtube for M5 videos. They do go a lot faster than their heavier brethren. I guess that's why they were used for scouting!

The Crusader has the same guts as the M5 & M8. It's a larger thank though, and runs a bit slower. By all means do a caunter scheme. It took a LOT of masking tape and newspaper, but it's worth it.

Damn! You beat me to it!
Now that does look good. Hoping they do a Matilda or a Comet at some stage in the not too distant.
Always felt that British (I declare my bias here) tanks have got a worse press than their Wehrmacht counterparts.
How's the Crusader run? Does smoke function work?
Never been overly interested in the bb shooting thing that you get with other more expensive types. Quite happy with a scale representation that has accurate detail, and runs. The
Currently got an M26 up for sale on ebay.
Liked working on it but only used the bb half a dozen times.
Interesting to compare the M5 against it!
          Cheers
