Hen Long 1/16th scale Panzer III

I have rediscovered a working Heng Long Panzer III in my loft and a Heng Long Tiger I also, and while the Tiger came apart quite nicely for a re-spray in late war colours, to replace the green and brown patches as factory appllied, the 'panzer grey' coloured Panzer III would not come apart, for a re-spray, despite taking 5 screws out under the underside of the hull. So has anyone taken a hull top and turret of the chassis to paint it or replace broken parts? If so can someone guide me through the process.

PS - I think my HL Panzer III is an early version from about 15 years ago.

    Thanks Larry

Despite the screws under the hull being removed, the top of the chassis doesn't want to come off for repainting, and as it has the appearance of a Panzer IIIL, so could do with a Kursk era 'yellow / green and red-brown paint scheme. Someone must have pulled the Heng Long Panzer III apart to change the gearbox.

Chance would be a fine thing, but it wont come apart and to force it might bust something, so I guess I will have to carefully mask it, and spay it as a complete kit. Shame as someone on here must know how they come apart,

They come apart after removing the 5 screws. The 6th screw in the middle at the rear holds the smoke unit in. It is possible that the age and the paint has kinda stuck it together. Have you tried prying it gently?

Here is my PzIII L at Kursk-
