In my Flywing helis where the H1 is standard equipment, tail rotor responds to rudder stick even while sitting on the ground and also during spool up. It does it by speeding up or slowing down the tail motor. Does your 600 have an electric tail motor or does it have a push rod that changes the tail rotor pitch? I may be mistaken but I think the H1 only works on electric tail motors where the motor speed changes to counter torque by adjusting tail motor speed.

I have a question. I purchased a Rotorscale 250 size Apache AH-64. On the helicopter and on the case the helicopter came in it says "YU XIANG" F11S 1:32 scale it says on the case, so who manufactured and assembled this helicopter? If it was "YU XIANG"? Then how does Rotorscale play into all of this?

Hi, Looking at purchasing this helicopter but seem to be a little confused as to the actual bits I need to do to get it flying.
some things I’ve read say that is ready to fly , charge up and off you go. Other things say you have to stick the windows in and so on, what is actually needed to be done. Thanks in advance.

First flight out of the box!! Preflight check was good. Made a couple of passes. Went up like it was RTH. Lost GPS. Spun enough to eject the battery. Not happy with this product at all. Still within warranty but will Motion RC honor it??? Anybody else have issues with this platform?2 Photos

I just purchased this heli a couple of weeks ago. First time with GPS heli and all I can say is WOW! These fly fantastic coming from a 34 yr RC airplane guy. I did have some major issues and wanted to pass along my experiences.
When I initially got the heli, the landing gear would not go all the way up into the wheel well. I watched the MRC video on how to adjust and ended up stripping the left side trunion. MRC was kind enough to send out hardware for the repair. This time had to take the entire "power train" out to access the area to replace the trunion and grub screw. Again another great how to video from MRC, however they didn't mention I had to cut two zip ties to loosen two servo leads. No big deal and eventually got it out. 4 screws and out she came. Right away I noticed that one of the "ears" that holds the power train to the fuselage was cleanly broken loose (aircraft right). I promptly reglued with Loctite EA1C (hysol) and got her back together. This all happened before I even had a chance to maiden her.
Four uneventful flights were flown and was getting used to GPS stabilized flight. Looks and works fantastic. Fifth, flight ended in near disaster. As I was hovering 10 feet off the ground, the canopy suddenly loosens and flights straight up threw the main rotor! Incredibly it floated to the ground with just had a small paint chip. The heli was still hovering and I brought it back in for a routine landing sans canopy. Back to the work bench to assess damages.
Clearly that same ear was broken off and dangling by the screw that attaches to the fuselage. Once again, I had to take out the power train to make the repairs. This time I found both ears broken off! What apparently happened in my opinion was that the broken ear caused a twist to the fuse which allowed the canopy to come loose and get ejected off the heli. At this point I wanted to return the heli for a replacement. Motionrc would not honor the return since I had several flights on it and they considered it a "crash". My "consolation prize" was a $150 gift certificate so I could purchase spare parts. I expect a lot more from a $1000 helicopter and Motionrc. To say I'm disappointed is a major understatement. As a seasoned builder, I could see that they ears broke off cleanly and a QC issue from Roban.
I am currently regluing the ears with an Aerospace grade epoxy and it should never break ever again. I hope others out there will not have the same experience. It truly is a cool nostalgia heli from my childhood and I find myself humming the Airwolf theme song while I fly it
. I look forward to many uneventful flights after this repair.
