  • I would love to be out flying but the wind has not let up for days here. Plus its 98 with a dew point of 80 UGH. So for father's day I got a ac unit for the garage :) HURRAY! No I can spray enamel in a enclosed area while cold lol. Hopefully I will get out there soon. If its not the wind heat its the GIANT Gnats and mosquitos.

One of my nephews is on the crew making the full-size models for the new Star Wars land at Disneyland.

What would one of these cost after you finish it?

                  The model itself is 1,500

I charge friends and family 1500 to build and paint it. Its a ton of hours. So 3k total plus crating and shipping via freight. Its 30lbs and 36" across.

Looks like its actually on sale right now for 1200

These are actually enamels. The brand name is Archive X. Its a recreation of the floquil colors used in the 70s by ILM. Floquil is long gone and the colors changed over the years though the names did not. So a die hard builder in the UK sourced all the original floquil colors sent them to a lab and had the colors recreated 100% This paint helps SW models to look "Right" and its a godsend to someone like me. But yes I have the entire Tamiya Arcylic line myself.
