I have used it, and it does seem to work well, but I prefer the Welder's now that I have found that method. I did find out that you can use Welder's right over the hinge tape too!

If you look on You Tube, there is a demo at a trade show for Foam-Tac that the guy makes a perfect hinge joint. Strong and flexible. Just runs a bead of Foam-Tac along both pieces.

I ordered some foam tac from MotionRC last week just for repairs such as this. I've got several foamies with a lot of time on them mostly with foam hinges and they're starting to show their age. Thinning and cracks on lots of the hinges. I'm planning to try foam tac on them.

Another excellent foam hinge repair glue is ZAP GOO. Also works on mounting plastics to foam like canopies.
For the hinge it is flexible and stronger than the original foam hinge crease.

Any of the rubber contact cements will work well. Welders, which you have to order online or E6000 from Walmart. Pin hinges, however, are the best permanent solution. Have fun! Doc
