Just a tease, right? Will head back to Feenix tomorrow early. Typical T-storm wall over the gulf up to 50K MSL. Not taking owners new plane anywhere near that, and while he was there for delivery, he is too sick to even be pax, so I’m taking the bird solo. Paint still soft and she smells like a new Bentley!
G1000/NXI avionics. Fuel stop probably near Monroe and El Paso. Hopefully Feenix by 3 PM.

So I have to take an RC break for a few days, but I will just say that I spend time tomorrow morning at the Piper facility in Vero Beach. Duty calls.

:Smug:Time to finish shaping this ting with a sanding block. A little bit of filler on seams but she’s shaping up beautifully.

True, but actually she is nearly back together and will get the rest of the decals and paint she deserves. Then retired to the high vaulted ceilings in the family room. Ver. 2.0 has already begun to her path to the building board.

These were a real challenge. Wing was easy, center fuse was a compound B-word. Right and left fuselages were done with 1/4 x 1/16” strips with 12* bevels for an overlapping joint.

    Thanx Hardway!
I’ve only ever used water or steam, but am strategic about it. Learned from some old timer boat builders (full size and model) back in VA. Never tried amonia or Windex but I can see the logic and hear it works great.
Enjoying the progress on the B-17 when I have to watch glue dry!
