Well, I can't convince you, but all I can saw is the only guy I saw who flew Miss America then parked her beside a Shrike Commander , take off and ring the heck out of her was Bob Hoover. In all fairness, it could have been after Old Yeller had caught on fire and was in for major repairs.

I will always admit if I'm wrong. And I can't tell you for certain that he never flew her. Maybe, ol' Bob flew Miss A once... maybe even twice. BUT, I'm still pretty certain he never flew her at all. With all due respect, the flicker photographer simply got his caption wrong. Bob flew his P-51 'Ol' Yeller" pretty much all the time. Howie Keefe was flying Miss A when that picture was taken. And yes, I've seen both of these 2 planes fly many times. Cheers.

Interesting that the Oklahoma Museum of Flying has changed the way the tail is painted, she sure looks great!

Not to be a downer, but I don't believe Bob Hoover ever flew Miss A. That would be prior owner Howie Keefe and current owner Brent Hisey. Yes a couple other folks flew her over the years but rarely. Bob Hoover's mount was the famous Ol' Yeller.

No, ol' Bob used to fly Miss America at the Abbotsford International Airshow, do his routine with the P-51D then park her beside the Shrike and repeat the routine with a twin engine Executive aircraft. Most amazing pilot I ever saw!

And here's my just finished Mig-29 with some custom snake images Callie printed for me! Ended up with 2 different snake head nose cones.

Hugh, not sure i can say this but the mig is a pure voner wirh the B insted of the V ( get it)
the yellow, the copper, black , snakes, dettailed super well. BRAVO MAESTRO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The F-18 Tiger Meet with Callie's graphics. I actually did more than double the black stripes on the fuselage from what comes in the graphics, by using a second sheet and a lot of hand painting. Virtually every black stripe, at least on the fuselage, needed to be either cut to fit or hand painted. Additionally, I extended the grey stripes underneath on the wing from going completely fore to aft in keeping with the livery. Definitely not an easy scheme to do, considering the paint shading (no airbrush-HD spray paint only) and adding/matching up the black stripes on the fuselage with the solid black sections and the white stripes (hand painted as well). All in all, easily the most difficult repaint I've ever done, but also one of my better outcomes. The clear gloss spar urethane coating also plays with the intensity of the shading with different light.
