ID:	88690 Congrats, TI. Just saw your Facebook update. I'd condidered loading up the Tahoe and driving up, but I just couldn't swing it.

I did have a good at my club's field today. We had a big jet day: two Me-262s, two MiG-21s, F-86, Vampire, Panther, Avanti, and probably one more that I can't remember. The F-86 and one of the Schwalbe's was mine. The Schwalbe was a maiden flight and it went very well. I also flew a swap-meet-find Vortex delta wing that was a real ripper, which was huge fun, and a rocket boost glider. Here's a composite video of my flights (when I remembered to turn on the hatcam).

You stole that, they are awesome planes...you can also run it on a 6S and get about 140 mph out of it.

I've scored some great deals at swap meets. My best score has been $150 for a Freewing Me-262, which came with a perfectly good Admiral 6S-5kmah battery. I flew it 4 times this weekend and am stilling grinning from ear to ear.

So I've been told! So far just the maiden flight, but as soon as I get a dozen or so 4s flights on her I plan to step it up. Did I mention I LOVE this plane?

                                      Day 367:

Got my old tired 1700mm Mustang out today and put a new Admiral 6S 5000 in it for a nice afternoon flight...

I noticed the new battery really spruced it up so I was wringing it out and gunning through a half cuban and BAMM! the whole front of the plane exploded (motor mount let go), there were yellow chunks all over the sky...it was spectacular!
When the motor exited it twisted up the ESC wires and pull the throttle wire out of the receiver so I could only stand there in awe as all the parts and fuselage rained down. I took the Mule down and picked up the parts but never did find the Talon motor and prop, it's not a huge loss as I got it from a guy that had crashed it and gave up on it...I pieced it back together and got many flights out of her.

Aww man, hope you get it back together soon! That failure mode sounds eerily familar though, my FMS 1.5m P-47 went out in a similar fashion. I guess the FMS firewalls really aren't great at surviving on upgraded power plants. I'm sure it will be stronger than ever by the time she is rebuilt though!
