Hi everyone. Thought I would show off my new 1700mm Corsair. It has not yet been maidened. Spent the last three months putting it together and mostly painting. My thoughts on the paint scheme are that this bird was stationed on one of the South Pacific Islands and made it through the war but the salt water and constant rain left it pretty worn. And the insignias are mostly just what came with the plane so Its kind of a mix. Not trying to win any "scale" awards here.

Wow , I'd hate to see what it would look like if you were really trying to win some awards.
This will win , no problem.

Utterly fantastic Aces...Wow. Never seen that amount of weathering on a Corsair (and for the right reasons)...That could win a static display. :Cool:
