I was re-watching 'Hot Shots' and it made me think about how much fun it'd be to fly an 80mm Folland Gnat around.
Hey Alpha, you think you could paint it up in 'The Navy' color scheme too? 😁

In Australia we have some fanfare this weekend celebrating 100 years of the Royal Australian Air Force. Im not aware of many planes which have been released with an RAAF livery, although I have painted some myself.

Some interesting options in the historical lineup. The F-111 was in service until 2010 and the legacy camo was stunning.

You have got the Great 2.0 B-24 out and now there are a lot that are waiting on a 2.0 or larger B-17 Flying Fortress I for one will by one no matter the cost. I still have and am still flying the Free Wing 1.6 B-17 for years now (F2601) in fact the B-17 was the first Free Wing plane I purchased and have and have ordered many free wing planes since and the flight line and the Skynetic planes Time to Bring it back with all the new technology we have available to the RC world We would love to see a new B-17 Flying Fortress in the fleet Come Man bring it on. there are many waiting to see one

    B-17 FLYING FORTRESS. 3 meters

ALPHA nothing is out there. The ones currently flying
are cheaply made. I've been looking for the last 3 years. I own 2 of the 80mm FMS A10 and the quality you guys hit it out of the ball park awesome plane. If
you guys make a B-17 like you did with the 80mm A10 you will OWN the market. Their is a great deal of interest out there for a good quality B-17. Bombay doors that open, turrets that turn, props that you can replace one blade, nice sturdy landing gear, good powerful electric motors, lights that will light it up like a Christmas tree. Can you imagine the upgrades people are going to do if this existed. Come on guys show your interest. If the cost is an issue. Make a good quality shell than offer the upgrades so they can be added on later for completions. B-17 FLYING FORTRESS lets go guys let Alpha know

As long as it had working LEVCONs and full flying stabs (horizontal and vertical) I think I'd be happy!
(And TV nozzles of course, even if they are separately available)

The 57 doesn't have a dedicated airbrake after all (uses the conventional surfaces for that), so that should make it easier!
The jet has drag-chutes though, but I think we could leave that for the mod crew...

She's such a beauty sitting like that with all those huge control surfaces deflected...

And now that Freewing has twist and turn retracts for 80mm sized birds... gotta put them to good use!

I’m still hoping for a 2.4m+ B-29. A Lancaster or Mosquito would also be great to see.

OK, it is pretty funny looking, but out of curiosity I looked up the plane, and found a video of some amazing flying:
