Received mine yesterday, though I have not had a chance to open and look at it. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some time to see it.

I am taking only 10 orders for anyone wanting a drag chute for the month of July.

I have 3 on order already.

    Thanks,
    Paul

I put bigger magnets in mine as my install was not perfectly straight, and I needed the extra holding power to keep the door from popping open in flight.

One other thing I did was to grind down the tips of the hinge screws so that the chute does not catch on them. I also put a dab of hot glue over each as well for added insurance.
Looks great Pat! Your chute is in the mail tomorrow morning!

    Thanks Pat,

I have a couple coming from BH so I can continue to use for Proof of Concept before ordering Paul's beauty. Tried testing with a cheapie Estes rocket vinyl job but its a POS.

    Dave,

I have to wrap it up very tight, but it does fit. It's the one that you were supposed to use for the pilot ejection system. It's 22" and made of red silk.

    Pat,

what is the size of the Mig 29 chute packed? Will it fit inside?

Almost done with my chute mod. All that's left is to finish up the emergency release and installing the magnets, then I can close it up. Tested the regular release mechanism several times and it works a treat! I had some 6mm and 4mm CF rod on hand, and everything nests together perfectly with no slop. I have a chute from my LX Mig-29 to use until Paul gets me his masterpiece (can't wait to get that!). I'll post some vid when it's all done.

Thank you Steve for providing the short kit!
