They are a retract. No end point adjustments. You could redrill the servo arm to have less throw but I just ground clearance into the plastic on the wing root.

They will apply full force at the end of travel and then over current and shut off. But they will over current and it could be enough to pull the link off the wing root. On mine a ground into the plastic where it bottomed onto the upright tubes enough so it wouldn’t bind either direction.

Done, thanks. We will see if he responds. From what I am finding on the internet and youtube videos on the subject nobody has really discussed the plates much in the past 2 years. Worse case I will pull the stocks, reverse engineer them, and based on photos and videos add the extra material on. I am wanting to cnc cut my own from carbon fiber sheet, either 4 or 5mm thickness. 3mm would also probably work as the stuff is ridiculously rigid.

I just asked the same question about carbon fiber did you use it ?? If so what thickness and has it worked out ok. Cheers

This thread has been dormant for nearly 2 years and RCInformer hasn't been heard from for about a year (his last YouTube video). Hope he's OK.
Nevertheless, this has reminded to to give my old F-14 some love. Taking it out tomorrow for a blast around the field.

It's been a long time since I flew it, I hope it's not a TSB (or NTSB in your area) investigation.

Just came back from the morning flying. The old F-14 flew flawlessly. It's amazing how slow it will go with the wings swept back. Next time, I may try to land it with the wings swept just to see (assuming I have the nerve). Last landing was perfect except for hitting a small gopher dirt mound. Sheared off one strut. I think I have another spare or a friend can machine a new pin for me.
For some strange reason, I find the 80mm easier to fly than my 64mm one.

So do I. The 80 is easy to land despite being so heavy. The 64 has a tendency to drop a wing if you get too slow.

Did you upgrade the power in yours? I put FMS 3665 2000kV fans in mine and they made a whole lot of difference.

I did but I can't remember exactly which one since it was years ago. It's Freewing upgrade, still not as powerful as the current generation of fans.

Does anyone own/know of a derelict or crashed Tomcat they'd be willing to part with for a reasonable amount?

I ask as I'd like to do some reverse engineering and use it as a workhorse for measurements, etc for my ARF+ project.

I'd pay shipping, of course.

Please, keep me in mind if you hear of one that's seen better days and is ready for the bin.

I put the E20 in my 80mm F-14 and the flaps work when wings swept.. not good. 2. ailerons work with elevator (tailerons) but not with ailerons (tailerons) any ideas.. I have tried all variations and reversing.. what else.. Thanks, Nickel

My understanding is you would need to totally reprogram the E20. Not something you can change in the transmitter.
