Plane ordered. Getting the ef2000 now and the twin 80 hog for Xmas.

I have a battery question. I own 4 zeee 5200 3s 80c with EC5 connectors on them. I’d like to make use of them. Will these fit in the euro? Motion recommends the admiral 6000 6s and the it’s heavier than two of my zeee’s together. I’m just concerned about fitment. How tight is it in the battery compartment?

Yeah I think I’ll go for the air brake as well. I’ve used gyros on all my freewing jets years ago. It was quite nice but the way I see this bird flies I don’t think it’s necessary at all. Thanks Evan.

It’s the same radio I’ve used in my old ef2000. Thanks for the info dcorsair. I’m a huge Corsair nut myself. Waiting for DCS to release their module (digital combat simulator) also, did you see that guy who built a mini Corsair? I believe it’s called “war Corsair” he maidened a couple weeks ago. Amazing.
Yes I love Corsairs as well and its kind of how I got my DCORSAIR name, back in the days that was about all I flew and have built and flown many sizes of the Corsair over my 40yrs of flying, my favorite was my old big Byron F4U Skyboss Corsair with a big Saito 450 radial on it, what a joy to fly that was back in the days, I'm also following that 1/2 scale Corsair project that guy Don is building and I did see the maiden flight, awesome project he is doing on his channel.

So anyway you should be good then with the radio your using and with a little mixing should be able to fly the Eurofighter with pitch only on the canards like I did.

I also had the old version and didn't have enough channels at the time to run pitch only on the canards so I figured out a way to do it but it required me to change out one of the canard servos to a reverse servo of the same type, if you don't change the servo you will get roll only, then you plug the canard servos into a Y harness and plug that into channel 6 on your rx and mix that with your elevator channel on your radio, you need the canards on a separate channel so you can reverse them if needed, they have to move opposite of the elevators don't forget, you can plug your BEC power into any channel with a Y harness, worked for me for many flights but only if your 6 ch radio can mix channels. If your radio can't do any of that I would just wait until you got a new radio with more channels so you can have all the goodies that the new Eurofighter has, it flies awesome.

im going to ask a question that may trigger some people but do any of you fly this jet with the canards non functional? I ask because that’s how I flew the eps version years ago and it flew so amazing. Why would I want to do that? Well I’ve seen what happens to one when only one canard was operational and it was a nightmare. It snowed in Florida that day. Jokes aside I plan to fly it this time with the canards functioning except id like then only to work as pitch not roll.

i currently have a 6ch radio so I have to go without the air brake or reverse thrust. Which one should I go for? (I plan to get a 10ch radio soon)

thanks ahead and it’s great to be back. :)

Time for a new Euro video...

The more I fly it, the more I'm convinced it is the best EDF jet in this size category for flying loaded rolls.
    I freakin' wholeheartedly love it.

There are several cutouts in the fuselage that weaken it in that area - the airbrake, the cheaters, and the landing gear wheel wells. It's also where the maximum bending load occurs when landing on the mains. The cracks generally run between these areas of stress concentration. FW really should have reinforced it there.

Add a little more info, I used thin C A then sprayed accelerator. Holding the fuse to tighten the crack areas. Then I refluxed the spring loaded cheaters on.

Discovered cracks in mine. If you remove the spring loaded inlet assemblies, it will open it up and you can see weak points. I took NCA and worked it in the cracks and then press it back together then I re-glued the inlets back on as they help support that area, all is good now

Thanks for the picture, looks bad! Specialy at this price point, last thing i would expect is the fuselage to crack

There is no unique answer to this. It's whatever you need to get the CG where you want it with the battery pack you will be using.

The gear itself, yes. I’d say the Euro is more stout. The main mount in the wings and the top surface is showing some disforming though my landings have been very smooth. Not that the F22 has weak gear by any means. It does have a spring loaded knuckle that makes turning on the ground at speed tough. And as they are at an angle you need to watch set screw tightness. Also some have reported the plastic mount loosening in the foam.

Bottom line both are fairly stout.
