One of my close friends who also flies, was heading up an RC shop in Nashua, NH today and I figured I'd tag along just for the heck of it. I was just going to get a few small items, so was he. Welp we both walked out with Flyzone Select Scale DHC-2 Beavers, he got the Island Wings version and I got the Orange scheme one. Grabbed a set of 3" tires for mine also. Anyways I had to run into work for a few hours today, but when I got out he met me at my house and we set up shop. I had been reading the threads and many videos on this plane just for the heck of it (all of which are very positive and report a nice flier with good characteristics), I had intended on getting another FMS plane but just couldn't walk out empty handed today!
Two pizzas and we were off!

Assembly was a breeze, my experience thus far has been limited to FMS manuals, the Flyzone manual blew that out of the water, well illustrated, good explanation in the text really made it a fun experience. Took us 4 hours to put them together finished around 10pm, check the CG and it was spot on, perfectly balanced on two fingers (I had an 3c 1800 and he had an 2200 and they both were perfect) Did a few short taxi tests in the street and was happy with how it tracked.
Mines closest to the camera, going to go to a local crafts store and hopefully come up with a numeric decal/sticker to add to the tail, didn't really care for the stock fish emblem that was provided.

The lights are pretty impressive, the nav lights are bright as is the landing light, the simulated beacon on top is also pretty good, on mine however the wing and tail strobe/led is a little less impressive, the red DHC's flashing lights are much brighter, not much of an issue since we don't plan on doing much dusk flying! (actually caught my friends beacons mid-flash when I took the shot!)

Anyways tomorrow will be the dual maiden day, weather is calling for mostly cloudy, winds NW 5-7mph and temps in the high 50's, so should be good to go. Hoping for a good flight!!
