Hi Folks...new here and thought it was time I jump on board :) here is a little of what I've done with my P-40

Thanks Brandon!
I see you adjusted the eye to look more accurate, I'm thinking of doing that to mine as well. I changed out the Tigers to the original colors, they look much better.
I love what you did with the cockpit, do you have any video on making it into a sliding canopy?
I like to do that to mine as well.
Very nice !... not to start the cg thing all over again...but its alot easier to adjust cg using a device rather than fingers if you are adding weight or moving components to see how you need to set up the maiden flight test, then I use my fingers. I will have one of these very nice P-40's soon....happy flyn ... DJ

Thanks alpha. This bird looks a real winner by all reports. Hopefully won't be too much longer before I get mine. From the vids I've seen, the 650kv looks to be just what the doctor ordered for this fms 1400mm range. :). Hopefully I'll get someone to do mine in a RAAF scheme though I do like the avg scheme, as p40s (well, tomahawks), are to a lot of Aussies, like spittys to Brits and mustangs to you USA guys. (Is yanks considered a bad word to call USA people btw?) its still fairly commonly used over here to describe a USA citizen. Don't wanna offend anybody.
Ps: kudos to fms and you guys involved in its development, that took the time to get it right and most impressively, listened to the input from the people who buy them and made changes accordingly like the last minute colour revision. Just my 2 cents, but that's how you make sure a models a sure winner, not a flop in sales like the spitty. Well done you guys. :)
Cheers fellas. It was very common during the war, especially here with the "yank invasion" as its called with macarthur etc based in oz as we pushed back up the pacific, and I know you guys even used it, but who knows these days... But is still common slang in oz.
Cheers Ryan. It was all very unexpected, and as I said, I'm very grateful. Thanks mate.
Yanks is fine with me...everytime I got called a Yank in Australia I got a beer :) its actually meant in a very respectful way. This new P-40 has me drooling, I really liked my 980mm version.... DJ

I don't have a problem with Yank, I dealt alot with the Aussies and the Brits being a flyer in the Air Force. I especially had many a good pints with them, besides I'm tired of the politically correct crap in the USA. Good flying mate!
Cheers Roy. Thanks for your service buddy, you too olwarbirds, and anyone else that served or does serve. And Roy... I'm jealous. I can't think of anything more incredible then getting to fly the real thing. I've had a few lessons in flying, (mainly gliders, but a few in a Cessna also), but the closest I've ever been to a warbird is shows, or what I see on tv. Lucky bugger. Well, lucks got nothing to do with it I'm sure it was a lot of hard work and dedication, but still, lucky bugger. ;)
Hey guys, I find this really great, I'm Canadian by birth, getting my American Citizenship, so that makes me......
An Ameradian?
A Canyank
An Ameranuck?
Go figure!
Tell, you the one thing it DOES make me....
Proud to be associated with everyone on HobbySquawk!!
And you better believe, I'm damned sure proud of those who put their lives on the line for me, in both countries!!!!
Hey, I just looked back at this thread and, to date, no one's posted any pics of their P40B,I'll remedy that right now!!
The first and third pics are before the spray gun came out and the last two show the replacement Tiger from Callie Graphics.
BTW, the front sight is missing in these, I took a round toothpick, cut it to length, inserted it and painted her black, Works great!
