Same with me, guys.  Anyone who wants their cockpit customized a bit can let me know.  I haven't done anything real fancy like Brandon does, but I'm willing to help out.
Did the P51 with some paint, zip ties and tongue depressors, made the gun sight out of various pieces for hanging picture frames.  Changed the pilot out as well, the same bust as in the P40.
(New pilot not in the pic)

by the way Brandon, excellent job on the pilot, do you use a spray brush or by hand?
The paint seems to cover so well, give us some tips my friend!

Will do when I get more time and a bit more settled from all this moving...Almost done :)
I use both Airbrushing and By hand....it's actually all done in many layers and in a certain sequence and color sequence.

Amazing cockpit detail, it really sets the model apart. Well done, Grossman, as usual!

                  RE: FMS 1400MM P40B

Thanks guys, I'm thinking of getting some spare hatches, just to make a project out of them.  I'd like to see what I could do if I pushed myself.  I'd really like to rig up a switch that would slide the canopy back on the P51, but I'm wondering if I'd need to reinforce it or what, any advice?

Thanks "Pilot Ryan" that was a BIG THRILL & HONOR for me to see to enjoying him and seeing him flying around in your P-40B. Nice flying Buddy and good presentation on the plane.

I thoroughly enjoy doing things like that on a whim for other folks and giving back some of my talents to the RC community and modeling to which I cherish and hold so dear personally.

Here is a little of what I did with mine.

                          Guys,

I've been picking brains on the 1700mm P-40 thread re: retracts.

Take a look at the first topic in this guy's blog for a retract work around, just in case.

                            Don't you mean 1400mm? ;)

I would wet my pants if they did a 1700mm version! :D

Nice mods, Brandon. Very, very impressive. How are you actuating the landing light when deployed? Freewing's Landing Gear V2 Sequencer and V2 LED Controller?

For the FlightLine P-38 we designed a new module which Y-harnesses together the two sides of the aircraft, and in addition the module incorporates static, flashing, and landing light outputs. It does all that while remaining about the same dimensions as one of the above modules, so figure half the space for more than twice the functionality.

Great job Brandon, love your work.
When painting mine, I used a very thinned out black and a piece of cardboard laid across the panel lines, I sprayed through the wing insignia and it makes it look so real!

Ryan If you balanced your plane with the gear down and forward at the 70mm mark that would explain a lot as to why mine balanced so nose heavy....
I balanced mine with the gear up and back (that is a lot of weight rearward for C/G purposes) as is usually recommended with any plane with reward folding LG.....

That is a pretty key and important piece of information.

I was wondering why I had to add so much weight to balance at that mark....that explains a lot!!!

Alpha, that is exactly what I did for the landing light.

I may end up changing that to the new P-38 controller when I can see one....wanna send me a demo? :)

                                      Brandon,

Do you have a copy of the wheel hub graphic that you could share? I want to add that to mine, but darned if I can find it anywhere on the internet. I'm usually pretty good at finding those kinds of things.

OK, I managed to find a wheel hub graphic online finally, and already have it sized and printed. Here is what I used. It's not very sharp when printed, but I guess it does need to look a little "rough".
