More than welcome mate. We all hope you get as much as enjoyment out of the hobby as we do. It's a bit if a steep learning curve, (and we've all been there), but it is a hell of a lotta fun. ;)

        Welcome Saint!

You've come to the right place. There's a great bunch of guys here on the forum and they are all willing to share their knowledge. And just as they said, fly that simulator if you can every day and before you know it you will react to the plane with out even thinking about it. Good luck and good flying.

Hey man your cool. Welcome. You might want to rethink that hour thing though.😂 I tell myself 1 hour all the time. Then 2 hours later I could have sworn it was only an hour. Good luck and happy flying on the SIM and planes.

ID:	35452 Hey, don't worry too much about the drift slightly off topic. The goal is to get you to where you can fly a warbird like the P40 or the F4U or whatever you dream of.
You'll get there, we'll help all we can.
BTW, don't know if you have shopped around for a place to buy your planes, but you probably realize that a lot of us if not all, buy on line from Motion R/C.
Don't take this as a sale job and it doesn't matter here where you buy from, but these guys are veterans based as well and the service is by far second to none. They're worth a good hard look at when you go to purchase.

Yea.... I will be shopping at my local shop as well as motion. Ground control here in yucca has a lot of the same products. Also love the fact that motion r/c is veteran owned. Love that motion has a lot of spare parts listed.... hmmmm must know that flyers will most likely need them lol.

I was going for a maiden last weekend, but the wind was up. This week we've had snow!! Barely coming down, so I'm hoping we're back in the high 50's or 60's by the weekend. I can't wait to get her in the air!!

Anybody know the paint match formula for Lowes? I'm doing Haywoods number 49. Decals from Callie already on standby, looking great.

Sorry Ryan, I started out with the OD green I used on the P51B and adjusted the color by eyeball to match it. Just take the tail or something small and get them to color scan it.

Just ordered a set of Small Parts CNC retract sides. I talked to Terry and he said that the ones for the FMS 1400 mm Corsair should work, I'll keep everyone posted, this would make it the perfect bird.
Any news on when stock is going to show up. I need a new nose and some prop blades, would be nice to fly her again....

Hey Brandon, where did you get the eye decals? I never cared for the look of the eye that is supplied. Did you apply the new decal over the original?

Ryan changed his out on his P40 as well as his tiger, his has the blue 'V' surrounding the tiger, looks great!
The stock eye isn't too well done.

yeah Mark, on mine its not just the eye itself but the location that changed a bit. I'm sure Callie still has our custom requests on file.

The eyes are simply a paper print I did a while back. The PDF I did is on RCG located on the P40 thread and on my blog page if you want to print them off.
I just removed the old eye and used the stock contact glue to adear them and then covered them in hobby coat to protect them....easy peasy. ;)

Last week I ordered the 650kv from this bird (P40B) to use on my FMS 1400mm P-51 Mustangs. Have been reading lots of good results and performance with doing that over on the RCG threads. So, I thought I would give a try ;)
