I'm thinking he means 1400 mm. There was a 200 mph + bird at NEFI. The motor turned 58,000 rpm's!!!!
    This thing was unbelievable!!

I just removed the old eye and used the stock contact glue to adear them and then covered them in hobby coat to protect them....easy peasy. ;)
Thanks Brandon for the info. I'll have to give that a try.

That's what I figured! I put a 580kv and a Mantis 85A ESC in BBD and The old 580kv and ESC out of My Old Crow (IA) and into Shangrila. Both really haul now, so I can't imagine what it would be like with a 650kv. I did put the 650kv/85A ESC in Old Crow though, with the sound system she'll be a heavier bird than the FMS's. Are you going from 540 to 650?

Nope, I'm going from the 580kv to the 650kv. I had swapped over to the 580kv from the older stock 540kv a while back. Also took the ESC's on those up a few notches as well and upgraded them as well. Some of them i'm using the Mantis 85A esc and others I'm using the YEP 100A esc. Also since I have sound systems and a few other bells and whistles gizmos in all of them and running slightly larger batteries than most, I'm flying them heavier than normal, without any problems.

That's interesting, I was thinking of try the 4000's in My FMS P51, just have to refigure the positioning.

Okay, I've installed the Small Parts CNC retract side plates on my P40B and they work just fine! FMS Rotating Retract Upgrade, part # SPCNC0270

They should be as good as the ones on my P51's, which means they should be awesome!!
Now if we could only get prop spinners in stock...........

You will be glad you did them Dan. I was the first customer of Terry's to get these almost a year ago. I have them on the F4U Olathe, P-40E and the F6F(had two of the three at NEFI) and still no issues since installing them.

Got them installed last night, no trouble at all and they slide right in!
Now, if Motion would only get the nose cones back in stock!!
The darned wind just isn't letting up here in Cody, frustrating. Been practicing nothing but two point landings with the sim. New Spit should be here on Friday, things are looking good, if the wind would only let up!!

The good ole wind machine back in full force here too. It's not even letting up early in the morning or late evening. With 100 plus temp not very inviting to try even if it does let up.
