New FMS 1700mm Corsair V3

Ok so ran into my first questionable issue during assembly. While looking at the motor & motor mount I noticed that it seems tilted to one side. I took the cowl off and you can clearly tell the Motor Mount isn't square in the fuselage. Here are a few pictures.






It's pretty clear there is an offset with how the motor mount is in the fuselage. Is this normal? Does anyone have thoughts on this?

The motors are aligned with an offset to the right and downward. This is calculated to alleviate the torque factor which wants to make the plane go left due to the forward helix created by the propeller. But as always, one still needs to add right rudder to keep the plane straight down the runway....

I had watched the RCINFORMERS videos on this as well. I agree it seems underpowered in it's stock form. I'm going to try it for myself before making any changes. I am planning on upgrading for more power. I was thinking about the RimFire 1.20 450kv to keep it as a 6S setup, but i'm not sure on that yet.

I will for sure need more power than it's stock form since I am planning on repainting mine in the F2G Super Corsair #57 Scheme.

If anyone has thoughts on power setup please post them up.

Lots of improvements. I had the V2 version and liked it, with the exception of the main landing gear that had some cheap plastic and breakable parts. I watched Rich's thorough flight review online, and he thought this motor was a bit underpowered for this airplane. He suggested going to a larger size. Wondering what others might think of this.

Starting a new thread for the FMS 1700mm V3 Corsair. I picked mine up today from the local hobby shop. I added about 30 pictures to a new album of the unboxing an individual parts.
