Hi Stan I am installing two RCGF 10 cc Gas motors . I sent one motor out to change to reverse rotation and both motors will be turning inward towards the fuse. I will have two 3 blade props 12 x 8

                  Hi Aros,

Solved the issue with the cockpit by making two cuts which made it possible to follow the shape of the wing. Than filled it again with epoxy glue. Still have to finish it with some paint.

                  Two questions left...

Do you use the five plastic bolts or did you replace them with metal ones?

When I fully extend the flaps It’s still possible to partly move them back and forth. Where you able to reduce the play? If so, what did you do? 😃

                  Thanks!

                  Best regards,
                  Stan

Good thinking on the two cuts to mold to shape. I recall using the plastic bolts. As for flaps I'm afraid you're on your own with that one. This model is notorious for it's fowler flap system that leaves a lot of play no matter what you do. It drove me and my builder absolutely nuts and we finally had to throw up the white flag and just live with it. If you find a solution by all means post it here for others with the model.

Ok, do you use the flaps at all or leave them up?

I used them every flight. Even with the slop it didn't effect flight performance that I ever noticed at least. You can see in this video the slop was pretty bad but the flight was fine.

Great movie! 😀 Good to see it doesn’t really affect the flight characteristics. If I think of something brilliant I will share that here. Thanks for all your help Aros! 👌🏻

I think I have more than enough power on this one.

                              Power Test Run:

                              Motor: Propdrive 50-50 580kv
                              ESC: 100A Hobbywing Skywalker
                              Prop: 15 X 7 3-Blade Marster Airscrew

                              ——————————————
                              Data per Motor:

                              50% Throttle: 470W / 22A
                              75% Throttle: 860W / 48A
                              100% Throttle: 1630W / 83A

That’s a fast speed landing. Impressive handling.

Thanks, yeah I came in hot as it was just my second flight and I was petrified to get her too slow, lol. Later flights I was able to bring her in much more scale. Truly a great flyer.

Hi Aros I have a question on the flap servos, The kit calls for a HS-81 Micro, I purchased HS-82 MG micro they don't seem to work vary well, I tried one of the larger servos HS-645MG and it seems to work much better. What do you recommend ?

                                    Thanks Ron

I'm sorry Ron I can't recall what servos we ended up using for the flaps. If I can find that info I will be sure to let you know.
