Exactly! Matter of fact I would be interested in buying it if you don't want to fix it.Originally posted by Dewey H Lee View PostHey Ron
They all look bad when it first happens but when you pick up the pieces and look at them you say I can fix this. Give it a try. Bet it'll fly like you want when your finished.

Hey Ron.
I don't know but just reading over your post again I happen to notice that you said you were on a down wind left turn. I was curious to know if you were in the power or just taking it easy since it was a maiden. Because it sounds like a stall which I've had happen to me turning back into the wind. Slot of the other guys have more years under there belt than me and so maybe they'll chim in. When it happened to me I was lucky and it was a last second save coming within 2feet of the deck. I was maybe 100 feet up and thought something had quit until one of the older guy's explained what happened. Just a thought.Dewey l

got a quick questions for all you guys....my mossy took off got to about 30 feet and I turned left for the downwind....it never came out of the turn and spun in...now I gave the wreck to a friend after taking out the rx...he put it back together and flew it for a flight...all servos worked etc....now what could have been wrong with my flight? reciver brown out? any suggestions? and no I didn't take one red wire off one of the esc's...thanks

I emboldened one of your comments because since you are still reaching out for a possible cause to your maiden misfortune this is the most likely cause.
As an experienced pilot of many electric twins, the removal of one of the ESC's BEC red wire's(wire that plugs into Rx) is the golden standard. The reason for doing this is so that the two BEC's don't fight for control over what voltage to provide to the system(Rx). The majority of the newer 30amp and up ESC's are switching versus linear devices. The linear device would get the system voltage via voltage reduction which generates heat and thusly used on 3S or less setups and are tolerant to the BEC's running in parallel. ESC's that are running 4S and higher voltages are usually switching BEC configuration in the 30amp and higher range. The switching allows the BEC to do the reduction from the 4S(16V) down to the system Rx voltage of 5V without a lot of wasted energy via heat, unfortunately the switching devices don't play well together when Y'd together.
My suspicion is that the port ESC at full throttle(max current demands) became unstable due to the two BEC's fighting each other and caused a power loss or reduction of power to the port motor which just exasperated the situation you where unfortunately in due to the left hand turn. Most experienced twin pilots know that dead stick(no motor power) is the better option than trying to overcome imbalanced power. I'm guessing that your not an experienced pilot for twins based upon your comment back in post #10.
My comment earlier on the golden standard of removing the red wire on one of the BEC leads can also be confirmed on RCINFORMER's video for this aircraft at the 55min-15sec mark. This video is on MotionRC's product videos for the Freewing Mosquito at this link....
Hope that I've helped bring some insight to twin operation and a little closure to your loss.
Best regards,Warbird Charlie
