Still enjoying this bird.....I am getting a couple flights on it each week......The model flies and present exceptionally well.....I have standing offers to sell it each time it is flown.

Not much fun flying the past two weeks in gusting 107degree heat so my R/C time is significantly reduced....additionally 08-19-24 my DX8 transmitter fouled out ....stuck on 100% throttle. I purchased an NX10 transmitter but have not flown any aircraft on this new transmitter yet.

Can you show a picture of the flaps? Does this plane have the oil cooler flaps

I'm about to pull the trigger on this one , I have the BH p 40 and it flys great 👍. I'm torn between the 109 and the Phoenix models spitfire. I'll be using a DLE 61.

I am finally getting ready to start on my BF 109 and I will be going with a different paint scheme and 3D printing some scale wheels. The pilot and wheels are awful .

I would also like to know if this 109 has the oil cooler flaps?

Looked through the manual and it's unfortunate that it shows there are not oil cooler flaps. That's one scale feature that should not have been left out.
I was pretty interested in this plane up until seeing this oversight.
CMPs version had them(in fact had the upper wing sections as well).
ESM had them on the giant scale version also.

Looks like a nice plane, too bad really the inner flaps are MIA.

                        Hey Katniss,

Do you mean the wing mounted radiator flaps like the Spittie?

I think the oil cooler is mounted in the lower fuselage.

                        I'd need to research that.

In any event, seems like an easy mod for a large airframe no matter where these are located.

I would like to see a 1600mm to 1800mm version by FlightLine one day.

On my last plane i used vinyl rivets but i wanted to try something different this time. I 3D printed different size rods and i dip them in glue. I did one of the wings in about 30 minutes and the fuse took about 1 hour. It worked very well .I have attached the paint scheme i will do with a slight variation of some of the markings.
