Thanks for all the encouragement. It didn't look too bad once out in the sunlight the plane looked good even with the repairs. -
i think I’m going to go ahead with a gyro in my Tigercat. I flew the 1600mm Spitfire Saturday in 6-10 mph without a gyro then with a gyro. No comparison in the level of enjoyment with the gyro especially when landing.I love flying the Tigercat on calm days but dislike it in windy conditions, especially when the wind is shifting around. I have no gyro installed and the wind plays on those big draggy engine nacelles and the tall fin n rudder causing it to waller back n forth a bit. By comparison the P-38 is a missile and could care less about wind.

Looks good MB! Happy you stuck with it and brought it back to life! Like Hardway said, You'll know when it's right and I'm betting you'll love this bird as much as the rest of us!Leave a comment:

I went to the field and it was too windy... just not having good luck with the weather lately. Well MB your cat looks real good, its all in one piece and looks like its ready to go. I hope that you'll have some nice weather to get it in the air and fly it around. Once you have some "non-dramatic" flying time with this one under your belt you are going to settle down and love it!Leave a comment:

It looks good, and glad you went with your feelings. When it is right, you will know, and then take her up!!! Blessings Bro!!

Took the cat to the club field didn't fly it I was too chicken and afraid to fly it. The wind was coming from different directions didn't feel comfortable putting it in the air but I did taxi it around. Maybe someday it will see the sky.2 PhotosLeave a comment:

One aileron / one flap I know there are two of each, but since you are controlling each set with one channel each on the receiver, it is One/One...Leave a comment:

Setting up my F7F-3 on my DX8 (Gen 2). What wing type should I use? 2 Aileron/2 Flap?Leave a comment:

Hey, please forgive me... When I read about the props, I thought it was Mad Baron since he had crashed his and was about to re-maiden. I didn't realize it was your thread!! LOL I guess if I would have slowed down and looked...….. Well, that sucks even more!!! It is a great flying bird when you finally get her there!! Sorry.... Jerry
Happend over 4 days sitting on the bench. They said I got Loctite on plastic hub and that caused it to become brittle. I say BS I know I didn’t use enough Loctite to get any on hub. Oh wel let’s wait another 2 weeks and purchase 2 new spinners. BTW I ordered 3 reverse props and a standard prop yesterday and tried to order 2 new spinners. It would only let me purchase one spinner. So now that I have all the props I need I only have one spinner. I wouldn’t recommend anyone purchase this plane it’s been one pita just trying to get parts.Leave a comment:

That had crossed my mind and I forgot to ask you!!! After the impact, I wondered if they had fractured. There have been instances of them just coming apart in flight, so glad it happened on your bench!!! All the bugs are leaving the ship Bro!!! Hang in there!!! :Cool:Leave a comment:

I’m starting to wonder if I’ll ever get the Tigercat in the air. Now while just sitting on the bench both spinner hubs broke out of the back where center screw seats. I did not tighten these much beyond just snug.2 PhotosLeave a comment:

Not yet the weather today was not cooperating. I am hoping for this Sunday. I was checking the balance on it today and I noticed one spinner was cracked where the prop attached and had to replace it. I keep finding little issues that was caused from the crash, I do believe I have got the plane ready to go.
As soon as I get it the first flight I will be posting pics and a flight report!Leave a comment:
