Well I am going to see how this gear set works before I spend more bucks on another gear set.

I'll bet that's real impressive! does it give you more torque?

I did the same mains recommended by Tired Iron and the nose recommended by OV10. I have no problems with either and everything works great!

I bought the set with the mains and the nose gear. Still have to install them yet.

    MB,
Did you order all three? I was thinking of doing just the nose gear.

I realize it probably doesn't matter on these planes, but the P-38 initially turned inboard but the prop wash caused problems with the twin tail and it was changed to turning outboard.
Thought I would add to what the other said - and tell you that you also need to look at the prop adapters. One of them is normal, the other has a reverse thread... chances are they weren't moved around, but they are like that so that the prop nut tightens against the prop rotation.

My rule of thumb is if I look down on the blade from the top. it should angle to the wing tip.

The “reverse” prop goes on the starboard (right) side as per factory setup. :pop

Been flying R/C for 40 years and lost my Pattern ship few weeks ago due to "reversed ailerons". In my case I had to plug each one in to its own channel in the Rx at assembly and ----------- ! I do dumb thumbs but thought I was beyond that one ! I always tell newbies that even though the surfaces wiggle when you move the sticks, they got to do it in the correct direction !
You have to admire the skills to get her back down safely even after figuring out the problem -- that is instant muscle memory reversal. Way more than my old brain can achieve.

I luckily one day was fixing to fly my Pandora in the taildragger mode and didn't take check and do a preflight and caught it when I wanted to go left and it went right. I stopped and reversed everything. I learned then to check and do a proper preflight every time before I go up.

Back in the “Day” I flew an Aeronca 7DC. It doesn’t get any simpler than that; I STILL USED A CHECK LIST (Five items I think).
You know the saying about “old” and “bold” pilots. ;)
I’m glad to be an “old” one - Thanks to Check Lists
    Keep ‘me flyin’ !

A good stable machine and don't forget a very attentive Pilot to bring it back to earth in one piece!;)

    Great job Nick!
